AG Gonzalez was an ANCHOR BABY? Will he enforce immig. laws?

I have been looking up biographical information on Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez, and have found that he was one of eight children of Mexican migrant farm workers. But I can't find any info on whether his parents were legal immigrants, but from every source I did research, even Hispanic advocate sites, they most likely were not legal migrants, just too many vague references, I'm sure if they were legal, that would have that information trumpeted loud and clear.

I think he was an Anchor Baby, which makes me wonder, how would he ever enforce laws regarding illegal immigration, when he is an Anchor Baby himself, and a former prominent member of La Raza to boot. Just my opinion, but this makes no sense to have the top law enforcement official of the land who has as his roots, parents who were probably illegal immigrants.

Well, I wonder why that information is not readily available. That seems like it would fall under the "freedom of information act", doesn't it? If he IS an anchor baby, then he should recuse himself from ANY CASES that pertain to that issue.

While my fathers family were pre American Revolution my mothers family were naturalzed in 1924. My foreign grandfather became a United States immigration inspector known for being so strict he would not permit American born people to freely enter the United States if they held foreign instead of an American citizenship. I heard about it from someone who was still angry at him thirty years after he retired.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

    Makes perfect sense

Just my opinion, but this makes no sense to have the top law enforcement official of the land who has as his roots, parents who were probably illegal immigrants.
Makes perfect sense if your agenda is allowing illegal immigrants to overrun the country. Bush couldn't have picked better, could he?

Interesting point, Bootsie. Now, if the courts would see it that way.
    Great research Reptile09!

I had a feeling that was the case with Gonzales.

Isn't that woman he made education director LaRaza also. I can't think of her name but she is a real sour puss.

Same with Sylvestre Reyes, my congressman.

OHO! Now, THAT explains a LOT. Oh yeah--there is ALWAYS a method in Bush's madness.

I can't think of the woman's name either, JJ, but she SURE is a SOUR PUSS! It'll come to me!
