Alert! California Senate Poised to Ban E-Verify in State!

The most important action we can take to stop the deluge of illegal immigration is to eliminate the jobs that attract and support illegal aliens. The expansion of the federal E-Verify system is a valuable tool in this effort.

AB 2076, which would prohibit state agencies and local governments in California from using E-Verify, passed the Assembly and will probably receive a floor vote in the State Senate this week. The legislation would also discourage private employers from using the system.

I added this to my letter:

California's unemployment rate is 7.3%. There are over 8.8 million unemployed American workers, and that number is increasing every single day.

Illegal immigrants, using forged, or stolen identities, have illegally obtained 100's of thousands of jobs, that rightfully belong to American workers. E-Verify will correct this situation.

Illegal immigrants are costing California many billions of dollars each year. With our budget situation, California cannot afford the presence of millions of illegal immigrants and more entering our state each day, both from Mexico, and from other states whcih have already passed enforcement legislation against illegals. California cannot afford to be a catch-all for illegals.

Yes, and since the state is going to raise our taxes even more, those unemployment numbers are going to increase a lot. Of course those Mexicans running the CA legislature don't care if Americans are unemployed.

Done, e-mailed and faxed the Senators again today...and worked on this all last week.

We can only hope they don't prevent e-verifiy, it is ourl only real tool to turn illegal immigration around.

We'll probably have to bombard Arnold with calls and faxes, etc. If he wants to run for Senate??????? He had better think about it.
