It is just an amendment to 2611, it will still have to go through the House

Hey fellas, just a little state pride here, that was my Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe who put that English fiirst amendment forward. It's funny though, I was always under the impression that English was our first language, when did it not become our first language? I remember, stories told by my people about Indian children taken by the gov and placed in schools and forbidden to speak their own language, to speak English only. I wonder why our government treats these illegal aliens in our land so much better then they did the Native American tribes who, the you know what land, belonged to in the first place? I wonder if we Natives could get the UCLA or the NAACP or just anybody to sue the government on our behalf for discrimination?

    yep exactly nittygritty...

I am of hawaiian descent...they outlawed hawaiian and told the people that it was the language of the devil. Now why on earth are they catering to these illegals and making out society a bilingual one...it's disgusting that they are being treated better than the us citizens.
