A guy from here in San Diego who is a contractor went into his local Home Depot this morning. On the way out of the parking lot in his truck, he stopped at the exit to check for traffic. What appears to be a Mexican day laborer walks up to his window and says in Spanish, "I want work" in a demanding voice. The contractor responds in Spanish, I don't have any for you I have everyone I need. As the contractor drives away he hears the man shout "muertos los gringos" or kill gringos or death to gringos, in Spanish. The guy said he was so stunned that he had to pull over and think about what just happened. Check out the KFMB 760 website to see if there is a better explanation of the event than what I just said. Obviously he hires illegals, maybe this will wake him up.

I think a lot of people would be surprised by what our Spanish speaking friends say in Spanish around non-Spanish speaking people.

Looking at this from a different point of view. Each time another one of these incidents happens to an American who's been "sleeping at the switch," it's better for the USA. Why? Because it wakes up yet another person to the situation we are facing.

I say.......go for it you little knuckleheads! Keep at our American brothers and sisters until the giant truly rises!!

all the moreso to push for english as our national language...I hate when these spanish speaking people shout and talk loudly in spanish.

Amen. Another reason why the SDMM are putting the sqeeze on companies like Home Depot. And the illegals know it. I don't know when they will happen. But I do know that rallies for several of the Home Depots in San Diego are in the works.

That is why I am glad my son knows spanish as he can tell me what they are saying. It would not have been my choice for him to learn it but it was the only language the school offered and all were required to take it.

When I was in school we had a choice of languages.

This reminds me of the time I was walking to my truck in supermarket parking lot while wearing black hat with a big "USA" patch on it. Two guys drove by and one said "pisso sombrero" to me followed by laughter. I waved back in an unfriendly way and said something insulting to them. I then walked towards where they were parking. The driver then decided to shop elsewhere and drove off.

I do not recommend that anyone do as I did, but this was right after 9/11 and I was not in a good mood.

Nothing new here in San Diego. I had a Mexican woman come up to my door trying to sell something, speaking in Spanish. First off said I don't speak Spanish, she gave me a glaring stare of hatred and handed me a flyer in English like I was some kind of foreigner. Seeing it was for carpet cleaning, which I didn't need, I declined politely and said no thanks.

So she turns away and goes 'tu-chuk' with her tongue, like "who the hell are you to live in CA and not speak Spanish". Then thinking I couldn't hear or understand her, she said under her breath, "pinchi gringo" and stomped off. Can you believe this crap? Here I am in my own hometown, in my own country, getting insulted by a person who doesn't even have the decency to learn English, like we're the ones who are invading their country or something.
