Can anyone verify this about S. 1639 ???
The staffer in McCain's Tucson office told me that S 1639 had been withdrawn from consideration at about 6pm yesterday evening. It can be reintroduced, but, he says, as of now it's off the Senate floor.
He may be right, he may be wrong. I'm just letting you know.
And I'm still making my phone calls.

Everything about this Grand Amnesty Compromise is nefarious, shadowy, shady, and despicable. A bill that should be dead, has gotten some lipstick, been renamed, re-introduced with carefully selected amendments to be allowed for consideration, cloaked in obscure Senatorial procedures, received massive money and trading for votes, and the list goes on and on. We cannot believe anything Washington says, we just have to continue the pressure to kill cloture and any final vote.

LET'S KEEP ON KILLING THE BILL!!! THIS MAY BE DISINFORMATION TO SHUT US UP!!! WE HAVE THE SENATE ON THE ROPES AND WE MUST KEEP THEM THERE. THEY ARE PROBABLY GOING TO SIMPLY TAKE IT DOWN TO ADD ALL THE AMENDMENTS--IT AIN'T GOING AWAY!!!!

I had heard something yesterday that they may hold off until next week because the Energy bill was taking longer than planned, so I don't know if this is a temporary delay??

I heard Sen. Sessions say yesterday that this won't be taken up until early next week (I'm not sure if this includes cloture vote though!), BUT situation is fluid so I agree with OMB, KEEP ON CALLING! This monster can rear its ugly head at any time!!

Crapo's office said the bill had not even come to the floor yet and she has heard nothing of it not being considered. They are busy with the energy bill so it may be put off for a couple of days but it will come to the floor.

W.,
It's on the calendar and on the floor today so I'm not going to say that Cloture will not occur. They may say one thing and do another. We should tune into C-Span.
