tms--I was hoping at some point some union members would join our organization and there you are!!

I assume you union is a member of the AFL-CIO who as you will see from the article I posted on the OPEN BORDERS LOBBY FORD FOUNDATION listed to my amazement the AFL-CIO.

I started hearing the President of the AFL-CIO speak along with the US Chamber of Commerce in support of immigration; illegal immigration; CAFTA etc. and was sickened.

My father was a union member. A boiler maker. They worked hard and fought hard for every nickle raise they got for this extremely difficult, hard and dangerous work.

Now the union has sold out its members.

I would contact your colleagues; I would discuss this whole thing with them; I would get them to join ALIPAC so they can learn what is going on that will affect their future.

I would communicate with some of your local leaders and say, what do you guys think about this? Do we want to be part of our own demise; our own loss jobs; our own deflated wages and salaries; lost markets; outsourcing; decline in standard of living; loss of benefits and pay scales down the road as foreign nationals compete with us.

If you are "called" up for assignments like my Dad was, you need to be very careful. I know the "brown nose" problem in the Union which my Dad refused and didn't get called up for work as much as other guys who did. I know that if you buck too hard, you won't get called. If you work in a plant...that is different with safety in numbers....but if you are a tradesman, you need to tread lightly and just get your associates to join ALIPAC. Do you have contact with fellow union members? At local meetings and such? Raise it there, talk to each other before the meeting starts, and work it up to the local leaders as a group so no one person can be singled out as the "trouble maker".

That is my best advice. The American Unions have been sold out completely....start working the beat softly....start spreading the word....then I have every confidence in the members of the AFL-CIO to take charge of this situation as I know they can and will.

Virtually every advance in labor conditions and wages resulting in the quality of life we have today in the United States is owe to several generations of AFL-CIO members.

It's time to RISE UP and do so as a GROUP even against Union Leadership who is by now....your enemy and not your friend. Union Leadership has betrayed its members....in the worst way....collecting dues and then doing the opposite of what the members expect is a betrayal beyond belief.

GO FOR IT!! We'll Stand With YOU and the AFL-CIO members....not the leadership because obviously, you need new leadership you can trust.

I am absolutely appalled! How can the union heads possibly justify this? My guess is that the majority of your fellow union members are totally unaware of this. In addition to Judy's excellent advice, you might also print up a few "flyers" detailing exactly how your union is selling it's members down the river (and include this web address) ...and mail them anonymously.

Thanks for the advice may have to do that. Yes, it is an AFL/CIO union. I did read about AFL/CIO in one of your previous posts. They are in the process talking about our new national contracts now.

In fact, what is happening in our economy as the result of illegal immigration, deflated wages and salaries is actually causing economic damage to the HMO. Less can pay for the insurance while insurance costs rise from the nightmare of illegal aliens using medical services without being required to pay for it.

That's a hard situation, and you probably won't rest until you deal with it, however it may take a while to do. That has to be beyond aggravating. If there is anything we can do to help, (write someone)?, please let us know.

Here is why your union supports AMNESTY in 2005 and it did not in 1994 as the unions were against NAFTA. The largest or one of the largest unions is the SEIU. This union represents many nurses and government employees and lots of janitors in CALIFORNIA. Many of the leaders of this union are HISPANIC so are you surprised they now support amnesty?

The union leaders are saying that they support amnesty so that they can organize these illegals when they become legal. However, if you ask people like me who belongs to the IAMAW or those in the UAW or other unions you will find we want massive deportations. As usual nowadays the union leaders are out of touch with the rank and file.

Unions? The unions spent 141 million dollars to get KERRY elected yet 41% of union memebers who voted went with BUSH. So, the unions wasted 141 million in union dues to get a Democrat elected as usual and it was all for not. See my point? The union leaders don't care about the rank and file.

I am an employee of an airline. The airlines have seen massive layoffs and wage and benefit cuts since 2001. I know for a fact however, that some of the union leaders have had raises as much as $28,000 in one case since 2000. We take cuts and they get raises? Go figure! This union local represents airlines employees exclusively. My point? The union leaders are out of step with the wishes of those who pay their salaries.

I believe in the right to organize and strike however, today's union leaders are a bunch of six figure salary socialist communists who don't really listen to their members. The great union leaders of the 20s and 30s were out their at the gates of Ford and GM and at the mine yards getting their heads bashed in for what they believed in. Today's union leaders blame everything on Republicans while they sit in leather chairs on salaries up to $500,000 a year. GO TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR WEBSITE AND FIND THE PAGE FOR UNION REPORTS AND YOU CAN FIND THE SALARY OF MOST UNION LEADERS. The AFLCIO was really angry when the DOL UNDER BUSH PUT THIS INFORMATION on the net. The don't want we rank and file to know how they take care of themselves??

I don't think the union leaders are any better than the greedy corporate leaders of companies that destroy the company they lead and walk away with millions. Their is little Democracy really in a union and I think they are in cohoots in many cases with the companies.

Anyway, because a few Hispanics have taken over the SEIU, the AFL has changed its tune. It is all about money to the union leaders and that is why politics are so important to them. I can't condemn all of them but WE think all they care about is collecting union dues.

JackSmith--you are right about the AFL-CIO. They have sold out their members to get more dues...which is folly....because these other countries are not going to join their union....and all the trade agreements are costing Americans their jobs and so likewise costs the union their dues from them eventually.

It is a Folly Policy of the AFL-CIO.

The leaders I'll bet are getting paid by Open Borders Lobby by some means to sell you all out!
