Is America's Immigration System Really Broken? Who Broke It?

    By John W. Lillpop

Open borders advocates, intent on transforming America into a third world cesspool akin to Mexico, have rolled out yet another loony slogan in their attempt to keep the U.S. from securing our borders, enforcing the law, and deporting illegal aliens.

The latest refrain spewing from leftists is, "America's immigration system is broken. We cannot stop illegal immigration without comprehensive immigration reform."

That unmitigated animal waste is spread by the likes of President Bush, Senator Hillary Clinton, all Democrats, and most RINOs. It also comes from Felipe Calderon and Vicente Fox, present and past presidents of third world Mexico, as well as from Mexican folk hero Elvira Arrellano, an acknowledged expert in deportation and the use of organized religion as a wedge against the rule of law.

Each of these political luminaries makes the absurd "Broken System" charge without attempting to address the really pertinent question, "Who broke it?"

In fact, the immigration system is not broken at all! Existing immigration laws will work perfectly fine, provided such laws are enforced.

Regrettably, America's worst president in history, George W. Bush, in concert with traitors in the U.S. Congress, refuse to enforce existing immigration laws, even in the wake of 9/11 and the global war on terror.

Instead, our so-called leaders blather on and on about "comprehensive" reform, which is liberal-speak for amnesty. In truth, comprehensive reform is the Monopoly- game equivalent of "get out of jail" cards for 38 million criminal freeloaders and scam artists.

But caution unto those who believe that We the People can be played forever like a board game! As President Bush, Governor Eliot Spitzer, and Senator Hillary Clinton are learning, there is a limit to the amount of stupidity that the American people will countenance. That limit is breached by the 'broken system' idiocy.

A new rallying cry is emerging from sea to shining sea. That cry is simply, "America don't need no stinkin' immigration reform!"

Prudent politicians interested in a legacy, or a future in politics, will heed that cry. Or perish.

    Very well said.
Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".

Sure they are right, comprehensive and real immigration reform would be great. The issue is that their idea of comprensive immigration reform is essentialy legalizing the de facto open borders we've had for the past 30 or so years.

Real, comprehensive immigration reform that put enough trained, law enforcment on our borders to stop not only illegal immigration, but smuggling, and the other such things we see coming in illegally would be wonderful.

Real, comprehensive immigration reform that changed changed the constitution to protect the citizens, to deny birthright citizenship to children of parents who are not citizens, that denied minority rights to noncitizens, that used quotas based on the benefits to this country, that took away chain migration.

Real comprehensive immigration reform that did not say its against the law to hire illegal immigrants at the same time other laws are used to say its against the law to not hire them. Don't hire them, but you can't check if they are illegal either.

Real comprehensive immigration reform that says we need to be able to communicate together and citizens need to all be equal. So English is the language that the government uses, and all citizens need to be treated equally under the law.

There are a thousand things that real comprehensive immigration could do for us.

This is another example of a propaganda technique known as a "glittering generality." It uses a word or phrase designed to arouse emotions, in this case "broken," when what they really mean is that it has some flaws in it that need correcting. But "broken" gets people agitated.

"Working families" is another big catchphrase with a devious definition. Of course they work, but they have invited themselves in here, and displaced loyal Americans in the meantime.

There are seven major propaganda techniques:

The real truth is that it is our government that is broken.

Immigration should be turned back to provide families (mom, dad, and unmarried children) a place in America as citizens when it is necessary to keep up our population. Currently immigration is used to break unions, lower wages, and force middle class America into poverty paying for social services for these new "workers".
The system needs fixed all right. Not the immigration system, the lobby system. There should be no exchange of money between politicians and special interest groups. Politicians are supposed to represent all the people not those who can provide them with power or money. The wheeling and dealing going on between politicians is obscene. The idea of running for office to "serve the people" has been turned into a farce. It's a game of power and money that is played at the cost of the people.

Well said 1_paint. I applaud you!

The illegals themselves as a group do not have the money to do any lobbying--they are pawns so to speak of sinister forces behind them with a self-interest, anti-Americia agenda.

Illegals are obviously smarter then we are because they have "Representation without taxation."
