I know this because I was there and involved.

I personally am more libertarian than anything else. Abortion is a minor issue with me as is gay marriage, but it is really big with Christians and we need to gain their support by respecting their priorities.

Just because they do not sit around all day smoking pot and watching porn does not mean they do not respect personal freedom or freedom of speech. I guarantee you they have far more tolerance for dissent than any Marxist college professor. Trust me because I am well familiar with both types.

I can say this with certainty, the most hardcore libertarian would find living in a country dominated by Christian social conservatives much freer and more pleasant than any society dominated by the hardcore leftists, or the Marxists controlled Democrat Party and Obama. The most hardcore libertarian would find he had more in common with a Baptists preacher in the Bible Belt than any Obama supporter. Trust me because I am a libertarian who lives in the Bible Belt.
Fine, but most Americans, especially young Americans, are becoming increasingly progress on social matters, and all this talk about defeating the RINOS in the GOP will become moot if you're electing politicians who are on the opposite spectrum on these issues. Which is why we a third party, the GOP is not the answer, it's corrupted and stale with no new ideas. We need a fresh start and at this point, 3 years out, we have the time to mobilize and build a party that can win the 2016 elections. We need people who can think outside the box and innovative tech people who can build an online presence on social media and whatnot to attract millions of young folks disillusioned with the current two party system. Look at reddit.com and how it has built a community of millions of users. Imagine we could build something similar where people could share ideas, push others to run for office, and have open discussions on where the party should go.

I agree with MonterreySherry and csarbww. The Democratic Party is the most morally corrupt party this country has ever seen and should be reclaimed from the socialist/communist party that co-opted it 15 years ago. csarbww makes an excellent point about social freedoms, if in fact they are that big of a hot button with the younger crowd. Christians may not like what a person is doing but they generally don't deliver a beat down for it as we have seen so many Progressives do when a they don't agree with something.

If Rubio amnesty bill passes, GOP might as well strap a suicide vest on the party
