As Senators continue work on the Stimulus bill (H.R. 1) today, there is still an enormous and ongoing fight to allow a vote on amendments that would require local governments and businesses to use E-Verify if they get Stimulus money (SA 165), and would extend the E-Verify program for five years (SA 164 or 166). While it is difficult to believe that Senate leaders might insist that illegal aliens have the same chance at new Stimulus jobs as unemployed Americans, this scenario may happen soon. Your action is needed NOW to notify Senators that they will humiliate themselves if this goes unaddressed.
