A spike in the number of illegal alien children crossing alone into the United States cannot be happening as a result of random circumstances. Something is motivating and someone is facilitating the mass migration of unaccompanied children as well as some single mothers with children from Central American countries through Mexico and into the United States.

We are told by some that it is a spontaneous response to increased lawlessness among gangs targeting children in Central America. That doesn’t explain how they are able to get into Mexico, a nation which has strict immigration policies that they, unlike America, actually enforce. These children must then be escorted into the United States. All of this requires coordination, people and money.
The agencies charged with securing our borders, which are doing the exact opposite and acting to secure the invaders, are the final link in the chain, transporting and storing the children until they are able to deliver them to relatives in the U.S., many of whom are also illegal aliens.
Will these become anchor children to be used as a premise for the importation of their families in a future reunification program of some type? As “Dreamers” they would be given pseudo citizenship and also provide an argument for a status upgrade for their illegal families in the U.S. The Democrats are a devious bunch and that would be consistent with their past and present.
A 42,000 square foot building in Port Hueneme, CA, will serve as a temporary shelter according to Vance Vasquez, a spokesperson for Naval Base Ventura County. The facility accommodates 570 people at a time, meeting sleeping, bathing, and food preparation, as well as recreational and educational needs.
Similar arrangements are being made at a military base in Texas. The average stay is expected to be approximately 35 days.
Official estimates place the potential number of apprehensions of children this year as totaling 60,000.
Obama was quick to capitalize on the increase, asking Congress for more money to take care of the children so that his government doesn’t have to do its job and deport them. The amount of the request was a whopping $1.4 billion.
This random spike may be in anticipation of amnesty, but it is a dramatic increase, across borders and rugged landscape, happening simultaneously, involving people of very limited means. Regardless of the actual reason behind this increase and our pathetic response to it, there is an undeniable appearance of doing whatever it takes to bring as many people across our border as possible illegally, by every means imaginable, coupled with an equally ingenious effort to simultaneously minimize the U.S. enforcement response.
Part of the intake process should include ascertaining why and how the surge is happening. Then again, the federal government, in all likelihood, already has the answer to that question and is either actively complicit or choosing to passively look the other way.
