Anti-immigration protesters rally on I-75 overpass
The immigration crisis at the border between the United States and Mexico continues to cause contentions.
Overpasses for America is one group protesting border reform and who want tighter border security.
In Macon, members of the group gathered on the Emery Greene Memorial Bridge that overlooks I-75 at Riverside Drive.
Syndey Bond, a protester on the bridge, said that the U.S. has the ability to reform immigration but that it has to start with border security.
Bond said, "We sent a man to the Moon. We've got the technology. We can secure our borders. Stop them at the borders then do it the fair way. Let them stop it at the borders and do it the right way."
Earlier this week, Governor Nathan Deal was shocked to learn that unaccompanied minors in the U.S. have been sent to Georgia. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said that his city and the state of Georgia should welcome them.
Governor Nathan Deal met with Latino leaders to discuss where the children are staying in our state and said he was glad to learn that they are staying with family and not in tax-payer funded housing.
Gov. Deal sent a letter to President Obama criticizing what he says is the Obama Administration's failure to notify states that the minors were coming.
Bond says Overpasses for America is a national organization that has been around for two years.

We see the enemy "news" propaganda agencies are up their usual disinformation by their dogged determination not to call illegal aliens--illegal aliens but instead using euphemisms, even when makes the "news" article confusing to understand, e.g. creating a totally false perception of the intent of the patriots' demonstration by falsely labeling it "anti-immigrant ... protesting border reform," when in fact "border reform" is various proposals to give "legal status" (a.k.a. amnesty) to ILLEGAL ALIENS. The "reporter" even contradicts himself with the statement: "Syndey Bond, a protester on the bridge, said that the U.S. has the ability to reform immigration but that it has to start with border security." Gee, that means Mr. Bond is not opposed to "border reform" but is making the point that he is opposed to current bogus "border reform" proposals. And the usual false and inappropriate words used to describe illegal alien kids as, "unaccompanied minors."
The governor is given his chance to play the baloney game with this section of the "news" story:"Governor Nathan Deal met with Latino leaders to discuss where the children are staying in our state and said he was glad to learn that they are staying with family and not in tax-payer funded housing." These kids will ultimately cost the tax payers plenty when they go to school (average cost $100,000 -- K-12) per child.
And as far as staying with "families" nobody has any idea if these kids "families" are not total strangers. And aren't their relatives here illegally because otherwise the "relatives" could have brought the kids in legally and avoiding the dangerous journey across Mexico?
So the Governor has an easy way to track down illegal aliens already staying in his state and it is obvious he intends to do nothing about it.
And on and on.
This is just one example of the subtle way reporters engage in an argument with a conservative through their "news" stories. If it had been some liberal group demonstrating for the latest trendy Marxist cause, the "news" story would have simply quoted the demonstrators' spokesman without comment and no references to opposing points of view, and no disparaging euphemism would have been use.
This is the disinformation iron curtain patriots must try to circumvent every day, on every issue.
Patriots, whenever possible expose the liberal disinformation and challenge their euphemisms.
