    Hispanic Charity Begging for Donations!

This article can be found at www.journalnow.com:

Group that gives gifts to kids is 'desperate' for donations
Accion Hispana, a local Hispanic advocacy group, will celebrate Dia de los Reyes (Three Kings Day) at 4 p.m. Jan. 7 at the organization's fellowship hall, first floor at 3 E. Devonshire St.

But in order for Los Reyes to give away presents, it needs to bring in donations. Currently, staff members say, nearly 200 children are on a waiting list, and the group has only about 20 gifts.

"We are desperate... We are looking for any kind of donation, toys or money," spokeswoman Lorena Munoz-Holladay said.

A new and unwrapped toy for children ages 1 to 12 can be dropped off at 3 E. Devonshire St. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

El Dia de los Reyes is traditionally celebrated by Hispanics on Jan. 6. For more information, call 723-6609

Sounds like they are having a hard time scaring up some of Bush's WELCOME WORKERS to contribute, huh??

Maybe they could get a big donation from the NC Associated Press.

Go ask Vicente Fox for a handout. If he has enough money to go hire his own PR firm in America then surely he has enough money to go help out a few tots and make their Christmas a more enjoyable one. Maybe LaRaza, Lulac or Maldef can lend a helping hand for the little guys as well. Oh that's right, they'd rather pocket the money and make the evil white empire pay for it. In that case I say Get Bent.

The could also ask NC's El Pueblo for a tad of the $390,000 the legislature graciously donated to them from taxpayer coffers.

I say they need to wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which one gets full first. They are the very ones who make things worse for the Latino population by way of donors to the leagal ones because they call us racist and facists for not wanting our country overrun by illegals. I wonder if they could ask the twenty million illegals who they think belong here to donate a buck each.

I'll give my food and money donations to the homeless shelter and the DAV just like I've done for as many years as I've had money to donate to causes at Chistmas. At least then I know my donations are going to Americans.

And by the way, yesterday morning I turned on the news just as a local announcer was saying "The Salvation Army will be sending food and clothing across the border this year." She went on to say that something like 1800 families would be fed by the Salvation Army! Do you think I'll be donating another cent to them? Why don't they just feed the people iron filings and get a great big magnet to bring them across the border quicker.

Good to know JJ. They'll not no more money from me and I'll be sure to tell the bell ringer in a very loud voice why.

Well, WHAT NEXT?? The Salvation ARMY SENDING MONEY SOUTH OF THE BORDER?? Well, so much for THEM. I HAD felt that they were one of the few charities that were worthy. They won't get another dime from me. Mine will go to the SPCA.

Wait Bootsie and Had_Enuf. If you don't live on the border, your donations are more likely to be going to local causes. Not to say that they won't give the money to illegals but they probably won't up and send it across the border.
