ARC May 2nd Summit, Bill Ayers a part of it...Chicago of cou
I saw notice of this summit on the MayDay site in Chicago. They are holding this event to plan after the marches. It has the usual suspects but I was surprised to see Bill Ayers on the roster.

MAY 2: Re-Imagining Change: A Movement Summit

The summit will be hosted at Little Village Lawndale High School, 3120
S. Kostner, Chicago.
10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Join ARC'09 for the May 2nd Movement Summit
as we analyze the political moment, shape the progressive agenda, and
activate the movement. The Summit will consist of plenary
panels, breakout sessions, and critical discussion of how we move
forward as a comprehensive and cohesive movement. During the summit we
will solidify our platform and formulate solutions.
Summit Speakers include:
Christy Ketchum: From Project South, Christy works to coordinate the
Project South Youth Council.
Jim Chapman: From the Illinois Institute for Community Law and
advocate for prison reform and prisoner rights. Jim will speak about A
Day at Statesville; re-thinking prisons
Bill Ayers: Education Professor at UIC, Bill is a member of the ARC'09
Core Group and is active in many other organizations
Carl Rosen: Western Region President of the United Electrical Workers
Republic Doors and Windows: representatives of the union struggle in
November 2008 to claim wages and benefits from corrupt employers
James Thindwa: Director of Chicago Jobs with Justice, James is also a
member of the ARC'09 Core Group, speaking about a people-centered
economy
David Stovall: UIC Professor of policy studies, active in researching
gentrification and education, speaking about democracy and education
Yasmin Nair: from Gender Just, speaking about GLBTQ communities and
movements
Kristin Cox: Speaking
about the non-profit industrial complex and how to mobilize
institutional resources in creative and strategic ways to make
connections with movements for social justice
Jorge Mujica: Long-time immigrant and labor rights activist, Jorge will
be speaking about immigration reform
Bernardine Dohrn: an
anti-war activist and professor at Northwestern University, Bernardine
will be speaking about rebuilding the anti-war movement in opposition
to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan
Barbara Ransby: Associate Professor of African American
studies and history at UIC, and member of Ella's Daughts, a network of
activists, artist, organizers, and educators. Barbara will be speaking
about how grassroots activists engage in electoral politics.
Rebel Diaz: Chicago and New York based Hip Hop activists will perform
spoken word throughout the program

No doubt that Ayers and Dorn are going to be there as stand ins for obama.
He's supported this crap every other year and that hasn't changed a whit since he usurped the office of potus. Sounds like community organizing to me!
They need to tap into the million dollars the Catholic Church gave ACORN.
Then there's the 3.2 billion dollars going to be split among ACORN and other feel good organizations.If Palestine puts down their guns, there will be peace.
If Israel puts down their guns there will be no more Israel.

At this point Ayers has as much to fear as in illegal immigrant. We are in more fear than either of those.
