Of course this post is analogy. But I find that often many folk are attempting to find individuals who are at the Presidential level and have massive influence on Bush's decisions about illegal immigration. Ed Gillespie provides no better of a candidate. He has been the conduit for our decay. This man is partners with Jack Quinn, former Vice President Al Gore's Chief of Staff and was counsel to Clinton. How can Bush name this guy as a lead counsel and still claim to have an ideological directive?

Ed Gillespie represents all that is currently wrong with America. But greater, is the fact that he is backed by awful power. The kind of power and money that rules and controls governments. Gillespie comes from a core of Corporate entities who know nothing more than pure power and the lust of burden free operation. What kind of a true American would behave the way Gillespie has? This man is pulling our nations strings and has connections that move thru both parties like the greatest of malignancy. If one were to wonder who is behind it all, this is the guy. This is the man who whispers the global corpratists sweet nothings into the presidents ears. Ed Gillespie is a coward and absolute enemy of the constitution.

    [quote]
Ed Gillespie’s loyalty to President Bush is undeniable. “If there is anything I can do in any way
to help this president, I will do it,â€

    chosen Did you write that?
    Wow!!

Al Gore and George Bush are wide apart on immigration judging from their records thus far.

    I doubt it.

I think Al Gore would have minded his masters just like Pres. Bush has done.

It was very interesting - and unsettling at the same time.

On April 15th, 2008 Pope Benedict visited the US and as part of his visit he made it a point to comment on illegal immigration in the United States. He went so far as to compare the illegal aliens from Mexico to Black slaves from Africa, for the purposes of pushing the Bush administration's agenda. But as always, one can find the architect behind the scenes. At least Speer apologized, but that gets away from Ed Gillespie's lobbying and political influence over the immigration issue. As it relates to the Pope, one can begin to look at Ed Gillespie's background. He was born into an Irish Catholic family in New Jersey and went to Catholic University in DC. This connection alone isn't necessarily a foundation for a political connection to the Pope and the Vatican in general, but it puts him into the speaking arena for the White House on Vatican related issues. Mostly tho', this has to do with their mutual agendas, the Vatican wants Catholic displacement in the US, Gillespie and his Corporate lobbyists want super NAFTA and also need to benefit from the cultural destructive forces of illegal immigration from Mexico.

It is obvious Gillespie was behind the comments, or the Pope's "decision" to chime in on illegal immigration.

Here in an article from CBN news Gillespie speaks for the Pope on every current political theme. Except that CBN either did not print it, or Gillespie didn't mention it, but there is no mention about illegal immigration. Strange right? Right. For someone to have such a profound understanding of the Pope's stance on things and to feel confident enough to mention to a Christian News Service what the Pope feels, you would think that he would have just a little bit of a prediction as to what the Pope would mention on illegal immigration. I mean if the Pope saw fit to chime in on the other issues as well...You get the picture.

As we can see Gillespie speaks constantly about the Pope's views:
    ...A Presidential Welcome
The White House called the ceremonious greeting an "extraordinary" gesture. For first time President Bush travelled to Andrews Air Force Base to greet a visiting world leader.
"The President, as leader of a great country, and the Pope, as leader of a great faith, can speak with some amount of moral authority in terms of issues that do matter across the globe," Bush counselor Ed Gillespie told CBN News.
Pope Benedict XVI is the second pontiff ever to visit the White House. The first, Pope John Paul II, visited America during the Carter administration.
"It comes at a very important time in terms of understanding the need to stop the spread of terrorism and the notion that violence and terror should be committed in the name of religion. It's an important time in terms of religious freedoms across the globe," Gillespie said.
Gillespie says the President and the pope share many common concerns -- the culture of life, the fight against aids, and combating global disease.
The White House welcome ceremony for the pope is the first since 9/11 and is expected to draw 12,000 guests to the South Lawn.
Ambassador Nancy Brinker, head of the State Department's office of protocol, says security is high.
"These are the sorts of visits that take an inordinate amount of time, planning, forecasts, all kinds of things, and of course predicated on good weather, so that's another issue," she said. "And this visit will be met with the highest possible security and highest possible safety."
Also expected, are sightings of the pope mobile as Benedict delivers mass Thursday to an estimated crowd of 46,000 in Washington's Nationals Stadium. He will also meet fellow Catholics, as well as leaders of other faiths.
"People will have an opportunity as he holds mass and addresses large groups of people in stadiums, I think that there will be many media opportunities the breadth and the scope of this visit," Brinker said.
    Papal Controversy
From Benedict's controversial comments about the evils of radical Islam to his recent baptism of a prominent former Muslim who converted, his stance on Islam has made him friends and enemies alike.
"The Pope agrees with the President that we have to confront this ideology, and the notion that you can justify not only violence but murder in the name of religion," Gillespie said.
But he has also opposed Bush's war policy in Iraq which raises questions about the fallout from speech to the U.N. set for Friday.
"There may be some tactical differences as to how best we do that and where we do that, but there's no doubt there's an agreement on principle that we have to stand for religious freedom and for stand against the notion that terrorism and murder can be justified in the name of religion," Gillespie said.
    ...
Here Gillespie divulges the power of the Pope's visit in influencing politics in places like Pennsylvania:

Remember back in 2004 when Bush began to push Bishops to speak out on agenda issues? Also, the 2004 push to secure Catholic votes...

Some GOP hold outs like to use the phrase, "the RNC can't even afford to keep the lights on" as a distractionary message to keep the illusion that the RNC has no direct influence over political direction.
Here is an article that mentions Gillespie's connection when he was RNC chairman to the Bush campaign:

    http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicsel ... tics_x.htm
...In the Bush administration, there is steady contact between the White House, the campaign operation and the Republican National Committee.

It starts each day at 7:30 a.m., when campaign and RNC officials join in on a conference call. They make sure that if RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie has an afternoon news conference, everyone knows what he is going to say.

At 8 a.m, a conference call brings together Rove, Bartlett, campaign manager Ken Mehlman and Bartlett's counterpart at the campaign headquarters, Nicolle Devenish. Gillespie and campaign strategist Matthew Dowd are frequent guests on this call ...
Ed Gillespie style influence on the White House was noted early on in this article from National Review Online in June 2003, entitled Left Turn- Is the GOP really Conservative?
Here is the link to it, archived on Bnet:

George Will had also picked up on this in the Washington Post:
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/ar ... Jul23.html

A pattern begins to emerge here and it all leads to Gillespie's influence and shared "values" with the Bush family.

The CATO Institute even entered the fray with an article entitled The Rise and Fall of the GOP:
    http://www.cato.org/pubs/policy_report/v25n6/crane.pdf

    EXCERPT:
[quote]Following an editorial board meeting this summer with newly appointed National Republican Committee chairman Ed Gillespie, the Manchester Union Leader editorialized that Gillespie “said in no uncertain terms that the days of Reaganesque Republican railings against the expansion of the federal government are over…Today the Republican Party stands for giving the American people whatever the latest polls say they want….The people want expanded entitlement programs and a federal government that attends to their every desire, no matter how frivolous? Then that’s what the Republican Party wants, too.â€
