The reqirement to show a pic ID in order to vote would have been nice as an addtion. Nevertheless, looks like AZ won't be a part of the re-conquesta agenda-not with laws like that. I may be even consider moving to AZ. Now NM, Cal, NV, CO need to get on board.

12-31-2007, 12:47 AM #4We voted for a requirement that all voters show proof of citizenship. It passed. The problem is, someone decided that a gov't issued picture ID (illegals NEVER get driver's licenses and certainly DO NOT use phony birth certificates or SSNs to get them) OR 2 other forms of "ID" such as a cell phone bill (because illegals don't have cell phones?) and a bank statement (Bank of America also doesn't require citizenship to open an account) is also considered "proof enough of American citizenship." because illegals don't lie about citizenship.

Every citizen in the U.S. should have to show picture ID to be able to vote!

Yeah, I agree. I can't understand the whining of organizations like the ACLU that claim this is a huge burden forced upon some people. Many, maybe most, of those same people that they claim this would present a problem to, also have Social Security cards and similar too. In fact, dealing with the Social Security Administration is far more burdensome than your local DMV office for a License or ID card. If what the ACLU and related groups claim, then these same people should / would not be getting their social security as well. The argument just doesn't hold in my eyes at least...
