Help Wanted, 'Arrogant Americans' Need Not Apply

Fox News - An information technology staffing firm based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, posted a job advertisement for a technical writer that warned that an "arrogant American" would not flourish in the position, Fox News reported Wednesday.

"Exelon is looking to provide these proposals to Chinese businesses, so someone who is respectful and understands Chinese culture is preferred. An arrogant American will not work well in this role," the listing read.

The ad, posted by Viva USA, an information technology consulting firm, has since been removed.

Varuna Singh, the company's development manager, told Fox News it received the language from its client, Exelon Nuclear Partners, and the wording somehow got past a "junior recruiter" who posted the advertisement on CareerBuilder.com.

"We are taking it down immediately, this was a mistake," Singh said. "This was not wordage by Viva. This was sent into us by the client, but we, as the staffing company, should have looked into it before posting."

Singh apologized for the error, citing "negligence" on the company's behalf.

Judith Rader, a spokeswoman for Exelon, said the company was looking into the matter.

"Exelon is researching the issue," Rader said in an e-mail. "We cannot verify or provide comment on this information until we learn the facts."

Diana Johnston, an attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, said a hiring decision based on national origin would be a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination by employers on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

The company that placed the ad can be reached at:

    Toll-Free : (877) 368-0860

    Their website address is:

    http://www.viva-it.com/

You will notice that they are in the "outsourcing business"; that is, the business of helping companies fire their American employees and send their jobs to India, so the "arrogant American" insult should come as no surprise. Perhaps some "arrogant Americans" should call the above number and tell them what we "arrogant Americans" think about the evil process of sending our jobs to India.

    From their literature:

    http://www.viva-it.com/services.asp

    Outsourcing

VIVA offers outsourced services with off-site and offshore delivery capabilities and industry expertise. Our offshore center in India provides the right mix of talents and infrastructure for our customers to depend on us for Web and legacy application development and maintenance, Testing and technical support, ERP/CRM/BI implementation and upgrade, and Wireless solution development.

Not hiring American citizens is a pretty standard practice for staffing companies like Visa USA. That is why hundreds of thousands of Americans are out of work. Staffing companies like Visa USA also helped the big banks like Citibank to hire foreign replacement workers, even while Americans were helping to bail them out with their tax dollars.

The difference with Visa USA is that someone got caught being "too honest" with one of their anti-American job positions and now Viva USA is trying to back pedal this is a "mistake" even though discrimination against Americans is a standard part of their business.

Imagine what would have happened to a native-born American, and God forbid, a Republican, who happened to run this same ad. He would have been put out of business and in jail by dusk.

That is the real reason our country is in a depression right now; if you're White you're called a racist, if you're a foreigner you get to do whatever you want.
