Oh yeah, in these cities and neighborhoods with these horrific murder rates, something definitely needs to be done, so I'm glad to see some focus on it. Trump's been upset about it throughout the whole campaign when these murder and homicide rates spiked in these 50 cities.

Maybe those arrests Chicago did were guys they suspect for some shootings but didn't have the evidence, so arrested them on gun violations to get them in custody. Can they do that? I guess so. Then they can do ballistic studies of their guns and see if any match up to the bullets found in any of the victims. Chicago PD used to be a pretty crack outfit. Not sure why they got behind the curve on these shootings for the past couple of years.
