AZ: Illegal Immigrant Supporters React to Shooting of Cop
Illegal Immigrant Supporters React to Shooting of Cop
October 15th, 2007 @ 1:45pm
Immigrant rights supporters said Monday that, because an illegal immigrant was accused in the shooting of another Phoenix police officer, did not mean Hispanic illegal immigrants are more likely to commit crimes than U.S. citizens.
Just look at the ratio of non-illegal, non-Hispanic persons who have come after police, who have harmed policemen. you are going to see it's a high proportion of non-Hispanic as compared to Hispanic," said Frank Valenzuela, head of the Arizona National Latino Police Officers Association.
Valenzuela said one Latino officer told him he's afraid he could be profiled by other officers.
"He can be stopped after being profiled by another police officer because he looks like he's Hispanic and he could be an undocumented worker," Valenzuela said.
He said enforcing immigration laws is an issue for federal officers, not local police.
Valenzuela's comments came after Jose Abel Cabrera, 35, who police said is an illegal immigrant who previously had been deported, was arrested as a suspect in the shooting of a rookie officer during a traffic stop Sunday night. The bullet hit the officer's bullet-proof vest, and he was not seriously injured.

If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.

But the point is Frank, that illegal alien should have never been in this country. This cop should be alive today. WE are looking for illegal aliens, not hispanics.

This has become an irritating recurring theme.....legal Hispanics expressing their concern over being profiled or discriminated against.
I saw a guy on the local news today whining that he's forced to move to another area because all of the illegals are afraid to remain in Prince William County, VA. He simply can't find anyone to rent to because they're all afraid. This is just another tactic to gain sympathy for illegals.
Then on CNN, they interviewed a woman (illegal alien) who was moving from OK because she and her family are tired of being afraid. She said that they just want to have a home they can live in and not have to continuously move from town to town. It's just too stressful! Of course to add to the sob effect, they showed her little girl and her distraught husband.
The poor illegals just can't have any peace. .
There is an easy solution....Go Home!

It is the job of local Police Officers to stop illegal immig
It is the job of local Police Officers to stop illegal immigrants
Why because it’s a crime to be an illegal immigrant - just as it is to be a federal felon on the run.
Such a sex offender who crossed state lines is a federal crime and the police have every right to catch any criminal – I am so sick of hearing pro illegal immigrants
Try to tell the local police to look the other way . I support Irving Texas
And any police department that works at protecting there city and or town ..
