Cruz & Company Storm Barricades, Recapture WWII Memorial

Seventy years ago, thousands of American servicemen were battling through rows of barbed wire, beaches filled with land mines, German and Japanese machine gun fire and more in their efforts gain some ground. Today, that fighting spirit still remains with the aging veterans and with help of a few politicians, they are reclaiming lost ground for the second time in two weeks.

One of the pettiest acts carried out by the Obama administration was the closing of the World War II Memorial in Washington DC. They originally placed barricades and police tape to keep citizens out of the national memorial. World War II veterans, most of them in the 90s, traveled, perhaps for their last or only visit to the memorial dedicated to them only to find it blocked off. A handful of Republicans helped a number of other citizens remove the barricades and police tape and gladly escorted the veteran into their memorial.

But the Obama administration continued to throw their childish tantrum and decided to wire the barricades shut. They were determined to keep our nation’s heroes from visiting the memorial.

However, with the spirit of battle from long ago, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) led a handful of other politicians and citizens as they stormed the barricades intent on regaining lost ground. With the tenacity that defeated Germany and Japan so long ago, the group defeated the Obama tyranny and successfully reclaimed the World War II Memorial and opened it back up to the general public.

Cruz was accompanied by Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The crowd that gathered around the WWII Memorial chanted ‘Tear down these walls’ bringing back the famous line from when President Ronald Reagan told Soviet Premier Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall. They joined voices in singing God Bless America and several other patriotic songs as the barricades were stormed and torn away.

One New Yorker that took part in the re-opening of the memorial was Jeff Thompkins, who told a local TV station:

"Our constitutional rights are being taken away. People made the ultimate sacrifice, and they should be open to the public, open to everyone to come down here and see this. This is ridiculous. This is not just and not fair. It's just not fair."

The way Obama and his fellow immature Democrats have been acting during the supposed government shutdown amounts to nothing more than the tantrum of a 2 year old that doesn’t get their way. They react in anger and don’t care who they hurt, including themselves. Everything they’ve been doing smacks of immaturity and an outright disdain for the American people, especially those few who are left that valiantly fought so long ago. They care not for the people. They care not for the nation. They only care about their own personal pleasures and power and this is why it is so important to remove all of them from office, permanently!
