Thread: Associated Press Article - Illegals & Social Security

I just wanted to ask all ALIPAC members if they have read the article on the Associated Press about how illegal immigrants are adding money to Social Security. I just read it on MSN. It is all so pathetic how people want to continue to try to justify illegals. It is all in the name of money.

They even quote one illegal about how he is paying into the 'system' but will never benefit from it. Strange how they can't mention why he doesn't become a legal citizen.

Well, let me state 'in the name of money' that as long as ALIPAC continues the quest to rid the great US of America of illegals, the organization will have my financial, written and verbal support.

The way I understand it to be, is that these Social Security accounts (numbers) are stolen, and it’s money the illegal will never see, or even get credit for.

Ironically, I just heard on radio today, a news story that the government knows when, and from where these funds are being added to a Social Security account. Most likely by an illegal alien using a real citizens real Social Security number.

Meaning; if an illegal alien is using your Social Security number, the government would be able to tell this by different means like. (a) The Employer making the payment, where is it, and compared to your real address. (b) The size of the payment. Is it too small for what you normally pay? (e.g. dishwasher salary compared to computer programmers salary)

And by other similar ways, but they will never tell the real owner of that Social Security Number about it. (The Government will not tell you that someone is spamming your SSN). They just put the money in a special fund and do who knows what with it.

That’s right, the illgal alien just goes on using your number, and the government knows where this illegal alien is working based on the employer ID, but they never tell ICE. (Or you)

I guess in some ways it’s a bonus for the Social Security agency. So I really don’t see any incentive to catch this illegal alien.

I have recently learned about the Senate Finance Comittee and Sen. Charles Grassley. For years I have been complaining to both state and federal revenue departments that there is a h--- of a lot of tax evasion going on in America. I;ve always got the "ho-hum" response typical of bureaucrats. Grassley talks like he is going to actually do something about it, now. We'll see.

There should be no Social Security crisis in the US. There should be no ballooning federal deficit, at least not during peace time. If the majority of Americans are paying a fair amount of income tax, then there should be no people illegally evading their responsibilities. The US Congress should not be wasting time arguing about SS going bankrupt, or federal deficit caused by Bush. It should be ensuring that all pay the taxes they are liable for--and then eventually we will all get a lighter tax burden.
