Baseball:Support Boycott to the Arizona Diamondbacks/Cubs

Leaves a bad taste in my mouth that these groups would want to touch baseball, to hurt our own local team, the Chicago Cubs... We'll see how many people show up and if it even makes the news! Wonder if there will be counter protesters? The press release mentions it's a nationally televised game -will they try to sneak in signs?

Support the Boycott to the Arizona Diamondbacks

Press Conference/Picket: Cubs Vs. Arizona (SB1070)
    Thursday, April 29, 2010, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Wrigley Field, Addison ave. and Clark St., Chicago

Due to the recent passage of the anti-immigrant/xenophobic bill SB1070 -signed into law by Gov. Jan Brewer, Chicago Cubs fans will rally against the Arizona Diamondbacks (SB1070) OUTSIDE of Wrigley Field.
    ********************************

WHAT: A protest outside of Wrigley Field Stadium on April 29, 2010 to encourage fans to take a stand against and turn their backs on the Arizona Diamondbacks.

A call to all Chicago Cubs fans attending any of the four games this weekend to not attend or bring signs against SB1070 in solidarity with the people who are being targeted in Arizona.

WHERE: Wrigley Field Stadium (Corner of Addison and Clark) at 12:00 PM CST on Thursday, April 29.
    ********************************

We stand in solidarity with our undocumented/documented Arizona bro. and sis. and will NOT tolerate this unconstitutional racist law here or anywhere. Today AZ, tomorrow?
We are going to give the Arizona Diamondbacks a message to send back home!

    * This is a nationally televised game-if you know people who will be attending have them bring signs against SB1070 in solidarity.

    * Bring sings and banners to the protest!

    * Outside we'll remind fans about what Arizona Diamondback owners really stand for.

Baseball will boycott anything that is anti hispanic as they bring them in on visas and have been for years. The game is no longer American. Agents go as far as smuggle players from Cuba and one has been caught doing so. We should boycott baseball.

The same thing holds true with visas for professional athletes as it does with visas for foreign labor. We don't need either. I guess professional sports is a job Americans won't do.

Untold numbers of American children dream and pray routinely to have the opportunity to participate in a professional sport when they get older. Many of them will work extremely hard in the hopes that their dream will become reality, however, most of them will end up disappointed in the end.

Why would we deny our own children in support of a foreign athlete? I know we're talking about a small number here, but every foreign athlete brought in deprives one American of his or her dream. Personally, I don't think it's fair or right!

I doubt baseball teams will risk pissing off it's ticketolders, took them awhile to get back after the baseball strike. The paying tickerholders are largely Americans and money talks.

Hope this backfires on illegal lovers big time by bringing more people to support state laws like AZ SB1070.
