Conservative American,

We are far from having all the details that we need and deserve regarding the 9/11/12 “Anniversary Attacks” in Benghazi, Libya.

It has already been over eight months since the attack and we only have a portion of the truth, despite the hard and necessary efforts of the House’s Armed Services Committee, Foreign Affairs Committee, Judiciary Committee, and Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Simply put, we need more than 43 pages of investigative analysis that these House committees jointly released on April 23.

As the Obama Administration continues to do its best to dodge and deflect responsibility for the sloppy, mishandled, and lethal terror attacks on our consulate and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya, we must make our voices heard and call on Congress to act!

You see, what is needed right now is a special joint select committee to investigate.

That’s right, we need both chambers of Congress working overtime to get to the bottom of what exactly happened in Benghazi last September, what lead up to it, and who’s responsible!

It’s our job to rally Congress and demand that they move forward and create this important joint select investigative committee!

The good news is that John Bohener signaled he’d be willing to support such an effort if it becomes “necessary” to do so. This is exactly why we need to tell him – and all of Congress – that now is the time to investigate and uncover the details of the Benghazi attacks! How much more time will be wasted before we get the information we deserve?

A Joint Select Committee:

We are not the only ones that are pressing for answers. Right now there are one-hundred and twenty-nine House members that agree on the need for Congress to establish a special bicameral investigative committee as they are sponsoring Rep. Frank Wolf’s (R-Va) H. Res. 36 – a bill “Establishing a select committee to investigate and report on the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya.”

Section (3) of the Resolution reveals the committee’s objectives:

Not later than 90 days after the initial meeting of the select committee, the select committee shall conduct an investigation of and submit to the House a report on-
(1) any intelligence known to the United States relating to the attack on the United States consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012;
(2) any requests for additional security, or actions taken by Federal agencies to improve security at the consulate before the attack;
(3) a definitive timeline of the attack;
(4) how the relevant agencies and the executive branch responded to the attack and whether appropriate congressional notifications were made;
(5) any improper conduct by officials relating to the attack;
(6) recommendations on what steps Congress and the President should take to prevent future attack; and
(7) any other relevant issues relating to the attack or the response to the attack.

“Despite the months that have passed,” the Resolution’s sponsor says, “we’re hardly closer to bringing those responsible to justice than we were in the weeks immediately following the attack. Put bluntly: the lack of progress in identifying and hunting down the terrorists responsible is stunning.”

The creation of a joint select committee is a necessary step that Congress must take in order to centralize all of the existing investigations into one comprehensive, extensive review. Rep. Wolf says, “A combined effort will yield even more information regarding the true nature of these terrorist attacks and the administration’s response and will not allow administration officials to offer up siloed accounts to various committees.”

The joint select committee would be comprised of 19 members of both chambers of Congress: The chairman and ranking members from the Intelligence, Foreign Affairs, Judiciary, Armed Services, Homeland Security, and Oversight and Government Reform committees, and five other Republican members appointed by John Boehner and two Democrats appointed by the Minority Leader.

This investigation is a must if Congress is serious about getting to the bottom of the attack on our diplomatic installments in Benghazi, Libya!

It’s time for the U.S. Congress to uncover the details of the 9/11/12 terrorist attacks. The Obama Administration has been committed to secrecy and half-truths in regards to this tragic event, and we must demand our Congresspersons to exercise their power and investigate the Obama Administration and their Benghazi Terror Cover-up!

What We Know

The Obama Administration’s reports have been changing for eight months, but – thankfully – some of the truth has come out:

• We know that the Obama Administration was aware of the Benghazi attack within two hours of its happening.
• We know that the attacks were linked to al Qaeda and radical Islam, despite the Administration’s reports, and that that the “official talking points” on Benghazi were a complete sham.
• We know that the acts of terrorism were not the result of a “spontaneous protest” due to a little-known film about Islam.
• We know that the U.S. Special forces could’ve prevented the second wave of deadly mortar attacks on the CIA annex in Benghazi, but were ordered to “stand down.”
• We know that Libyan government was astounded at the fact that the U.S. Government never requested to use airspace to respond to the attacks and that the responses that did manifest were severely delayed.
• We know that then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton disregarded the opinions, according to whistleblower Mark Thompson, of the State Department’s Bureau of Counterterrorism.
• We know that the State Department refuses to allow “low level” employees who were on the scene in Benghazi during the attacks to testify in front of Congress.
• We know that the Accountability Review Board – which was commissioned by former Secretary Clinton – is under investigation for its selective reporting.

However, though we have some information, we certainly don’t have it all. How much more information are we missing? What remains to be covered and in the dark?

The whistleblowers set to testify today believe there is a big disconnect between the Executive Branch’s narrative and what exactly happened in mid-September last year.

Peter Hoekstra, the former House Intelligence Committee Chairman, says that these truth-tellers “feel that there is a gap between what’s in the public domain and what really happened.”

It’s time to get to the bottom of this and demand that both chambers of Congress move to investigate – it’s time for a select committee to thoroughly bridge the gap between fiction and reality!

What We Don’t Know

While we outlined a few things that we do know, much information is still to be desired. Congress must press for more explanations.

These questions must be answered:

• Why was the military halted from responding to the terrorist attacks? Even if they arrived late, they could’ve provided much-needed first aid to the victims.
• Why did the State Department refuse to heed calls for more security in the months leading up to the attack? The regional security officer Eric Nordstrom documented and reported over 200 security threats between June and July, 50 of which occurred in Benghazi.
• Why did the State Department hire a militia group affiliated with al-Qaeda – the February 17th Martyrs Brigade – to provide security service for the federal government’s diplomatic and covert intelligence installations?
• Why won’t former Secretary of State Clinton testify further about her role in the 9/11/12 Benghazi terror event? Clinton testified only once and remains silent on the issue.
• Why didn’t the Accountability Review Board interview Clinton for their reports?
• Why do we not have clear answers on how the inaccurate talking points were arrived at and disseminated as truth, despite that they were fictitious from the start?
• Why was not every single eyewitness to the Benghazi attack immediately consulted on the event? Why did American intelligence fail to swiftly respond?

Questions like these must be settled immediately.

The good news is that we have legal advocates – and they are numbered at 535! The House of Representatives and the Senate need to take this issue up by using the power given to them by We The People to investigate the Executive Branch and work hard to uncover this cover-up that is nearly nine months old.

The House started this important exploratory work, and the Senate must help them finish! The bottom line is: the American People deserve the truth!

It’s Their Job!

Congress has the power to investigate and it should. As the great 19th Century economist and political scientist, John Stuart Mill, wrote:

“The proper office of a representative assembly is to watch and control the government.”
The Supreme Court agrees; in the 1927 case McGrain v. Daugherty, Justice Willis Van Devanter confirmed that the Congressional power to investigate “has long been treated as an attribute of the power to legislate. It was so regarded in the British Parliament and in the Colonial legislatures before the American Revolution; and a like view has prevailed and been carried into effect in both houses of Congress and in most of the state legislatures.”

It’s time for U.S. Lawmakers to “watch” and “control” our overgrown Executive Branch – a Branch that refuses to tell the real story of what happened leading up to, on, and after the September 11, 2012 terrorist attacks in Libya!

Hillary Clinton Fired From Watergate Committee for Fraud, Ethics Violations

The former general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary during the Watergate investigation, says her history of lies and unethical behavior goes back farther – and goes much deeper – than anyone realizes.

Hillary Clinton has been taking a lot of heat lately over the Bosnia sniper misfire, for which she has been derided and ridiculed by all but the most staunch of her supporters. It has even inspired the above YouTube video, which recently surpassed 1,500,000 views.

Now comes this bombshell from Jerry Zeifman, who supervised a much younger Hillary Clinton when she worked as a staffer for the Watergate committee:
'A lifelong Democrat, Mr. Zeifman supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. Ted Kennedy’s chief counsel in the Chappaquiddick affair. When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation – one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman’s 17-year career.'

Why?

"Because she was a liar," Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.'

Mr. Zeifman also had this to say about a Hillary campaign rally in Connecticut in early February of this year:

'I have just seen Hillary Clinton and her former Yale law professor both in tears at a campaign rally here in my home state of Connecticut. Her tearful professor said how proud he was that his former student was likely to become our next President. Hillary responded in tears.'

'My own reaction was of regret that, when I terminated her employment on the Nixon impeachment staff, I had not reported her unethical practices to the appropriate bar associations.'

This is no small potatoes, like the cattle futures dustoff. From Mr.Zeifman's account, Hillary and others on the Committee, including former senior associate special counsel (and future Clinton White House Counsel) Bernard Nussbaum – engaged in a seemingly implausible scheme to deny Richard Nixon the right to counsel during the investigation by stealing Judiciary Committee files on the only precedent case that could have stonewalled their plot and drafting a legal brief that, according to Mr. Ziefman, "was so fraudulent and ridiculous Hillary would have been disbarred if she had submitted it to a judge."

Things were already very tough for the former First Lady. Her ex-President husband has not exactly been helping her on the campaign trail recently, and she is no doubt wondering what kind of artillery the dreaded Vast Right Wing Conspiracy is waiting to fire at her in the general election, should she make it that far.

This last torpedo, from a lifelong Democrat no less, may just be the one that sinks the Good Ship Hillary and her dreams of the presidency, which only a year ago looked like a cakewalk.

Though a year can be an eternity in politics, Hillary knows probably better than anyone (except maybe her husband) that political fortunes can turn overnight. A catastrophic world event, or any more nuclear political bombs dropped onto Obama's head between now and the convention, such as even more devastating news vis-a-vis the volatile Jeremiah Wright, whom even former Democratic New York Mayor Ed Koch has roundly condemned, can make this and the Bosnia Sniper Misfire recede in the minds of the electorate, whose memories can be exceedingly short on such matters as events develop.

It's going to be a lively one on the Democrat side. Perhaps even more so than the chaos and turmoil at the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago. Perhaps more than any other in American political history. One can only wonder what is going through Senator John McCain's head during these cyclone-like twists and turns for both Democratic candidates. I can only imagine they are inspiring some very wide grins.

Stay tuned, people. This one isn't over. Not by a long shot.
