Bette Midler Gets Walloped Online After Mocking Melania’s “English” and Calling Her an “Illegal Alien”

Those of you who follow WayneDupree.com regularly, know that in my past life I was a <acronym title="Google Page Ranking">PR</acronym> and marketing pro. I worked with a lot of celebs, and very big-name businesses, so I tend to look at most things – mainly politics – through that “<acronym title="Google Page Ranking">PR</acronym>” lens.

And I am shocked every single day at how poorly the Democrat Party operates in terms of messaging and branding.

Their entire platform is all about empowering women and minorities, yet they are the first people to attack women and minorities who don’t agree with them politically. They expect the public to accept this as perfectly normal since the women and minorities they attack are somehow inferior. But that’s not how normal people think. Most people are not that politically obsessed, and they don’t process everything through this “left and right” filter.

In the end, the left looks phony, hypocritical, and mean.

But the left can’t stop themselves. They’re on such a wild emotional rollercoaster right now, that they can’t control their feelings.

Just look at washed-up film actress Bette Midler…she lashed out at Melania Trump last night after her RNC Convention speech, mocking her English and calling her an “illegal alien.”

This is a perfect example of what I was talking about with the left and their piss-poor messaging and branding.

Bette, unable to control her Stage 5 TDS emotions, takes to Twitter and lashes out with a juvenile insult, meant to demean her not only as a woman but also as an immigrant.

Here’s what she said: “Oh, God. She still can’t speak English.” and in her next tweet: “#beBest is back! A UGE bore! She can speak several words in a few languages. Get that illegal alien off the stage!”

Ms. Midler undermines every single s0-called “pro-woman” and “pro-immigrant” thing the left has ever said with this nasty comment.

This is just one reason why nowadays, nobody takes the left seriously.

The actress tweeted, 'Oh, God. She still can’t speak English' during the first lady's RNC speech Tuesday night

Actress Bette Midler has walked back a tweet that mocked Melania Trump's accent.

Midler caused a firestorm on social media Tuesday night as the first lady made remarks from the White House Rose Garden on the second night of the Republican National Convention.

"Oh, God. She still can’t speak English," Midler tweeted, prompting critics to accuse her of being "xenophobic."

On Wednesday, the "Hocus Pocus" star addressed the controversy but stopped short of an apology.

"Well, all hell has broken loose because I said Melania 'still can’t speak English' last night. I was wrong to make fun of her accent. America is made up [of] people who speak with all kinds of accents, and they are all welcomed always," Midler said.

However, Midler posted multiple tweets attacking the first lady, with one reading, "#beBest is back! A UGE bore! She can speak several words in a few languages. Get that illegal alien off the stage!"

Midler also told the first lady, "You are one lucky Slovenian! And after all that surgery, you hit a kind of horrible jackpot, chained to [a] colossal idiot."

Other outspoken critics of President Trump also attacked the first lady.

"Seriously, f--- this b----," comedian Kathy Griffin tweeted.

"Makes me want to vomit," CNN political analyst and Playboy White House correspondent Brian Karem replied to Griffin.

Former NBA player Rex Chapman also compared Melania Trump's dress to Adolf Hitler.

Last weekend, Melania Trump was attacked as a "foreigner" by former New York Times reporter Kurt Eichenwald after she unveiled her renovations to the Rose Garden.

“It is a destruction of our history, something no other First Lady would have had the gall to do,” Eichenwald tweeted. “This is the first time I have been furious that @FLOTUS is a foreigner. She has no right to wreck our history.”

Eichenwald later deleted the tweet and issued an apology.
