    Bills Denying Birthright Citizenship

Bills Denying Birthright Citizenship to be Introduced in Arizona

    By Elizabeth Llorente
    Published January 26, 2011

Arizona state legislators are planning to introduce bills on Thursday that deny automatic citizenship to babies born to illegal immigrants.

Arizona is expected to set off another seismic immigration wave on Thursday, when both chambers of its legislature expect to hear the introduction of bills denying citizenship to U.S.-born babies of undocumented immigrants.

Republican State Sen. Ron Gould said he and Republican State Rep. John Kavanagh agreed on a day for each to introduce the legislation, but Gould said that timetables for consideration of the bills by the separate chambers will diverge at that point.

Arizona's legislation would define a U.S. citizen as someone who has been naturalized, or someone born in this country who has at least one parent who has no allegiance to a foreign country.

Gould is the Senate Judiciary Committee's chairman and he said he expects the committee will consider his bill in early February. Meanwhile, Kavanagh indicated that House action on his bill might wait for approval of a new state budget.

Sen. Russell Pearce, the architect of Arizona’s well-known, controversial immigration measure, SB 1070 -- which, among other things, allows police to enforce immigration laws -- is a sponsor of the citizenship legislation.

Last fall, Pearce said that the U.S. Constitution’s 14th Amendment, which addresses citizenship, was not meant to apply to the children of people who live in the United States illegally.

This is the type of group who will be suing all the time anyway. Anytime the law is enforced on illegal hispanics, this group will want to sue so we may as well get things done and clean out the dang closet!

Well, they're right in one respect - brown is not a crime. Hoever, sneaking across the border to steal jobs and welfare benefits is a crime.

While it seems like alot of spinning of wheels the actual fact is its undermining that brick wall little by little. State by state time after time until botht he Fds and Stated come up with clear outlines as to what actually makes someone a citizen. Latino groups are going to fight tooth and nail but its going to come down to court rulings and how the judges view the constitution. We need more pressure, more bills brought up, make it a wave of increasing public sentament that we the REAL AMERICANS demand secure borders and illegals deported. Whatever it takes to deport them, whatever it takes to root them out, it needs to be done NOW. ICE and local law enforcement need to use the protest gatherings, the masses of illegals demanding rights and round them up on the spot. If illegal students protest at schools , round em up, If they protest on capital steps, round em up. Keep up the company audits for illegals and those using forged documents. Deport them where you find them. Do sweeps of apartment complexes where known illegals are residing. (Mod Edit/RB)

And this is exactly where this is going to land eventually. The 14th ammendment has been hijacked and skewed in its legal meaning, and needs to be clarified once and for all....for too many people it needs to be interpreted as to what it actually means and that includes sitting legislators

Never, ever in the history of this great country has a a/the language of foreigners been given the preference and the pandering that the Spanish language been given. From recorded telephone answering devices, to state and federal government paperwork, drivers licensing, labeling, the list goes on and on and on....too numerous to name here.
It will eventually destroy our culture and our lives as we know it. In many towns in this country, this has already happened. Many who post and who have posted here have already had to flee living in and under deteriorated, intolerable conditions resulting from nothing being done by the U.S. government to stop this invasion. History itself can speak to where we are headed.
