The Internal Revenue Service scandal involves more than nameless, faceless Tea Party groups. Congress needs to expand its investigation and ask officials about the targeting of individual critics of President Barack Obama, good Americans whom they tried to destroy and intimidate. That story will resonate with the American people.Last edited by HAPPY2BME; 03-06-2014 at 02:25 PM.

In a country of racial equality, why do we have a caucus in the Congress that tries to promote the interests of one race over others? So much for the melting pot.
Race was not the issue. Cummins has been the best friend that the IRS and Lois Lerner has had during these hearings. The hearing was adjourned and Cummins wanted to grandstand.
Did anyone ever collect that $100,000.00 that was offered for video proof that Cummins was racially attacked during his little victory walk with Nancy Pelosi after they triumphantly celebrated ramming Obamacare down the throats of the American people on a party line vote? I think it was done to take the focus off Lois Lerner.
Race race race, these people ought to be embarrassed, has nothing to do with race. This divisiveness needs to stop.Last edited by Jean; 03-06-2014 at 03:07 PM.

Obama has divided this nation more than any other entity, or combination of entities since the beginning of the Civil War. He has had to work very hard, targeting crucial old hate idioms that he knew would work right into his hands. The utter and total reverse discrimination actions of his attorney general confirm it.

Progressives' patronizing of blacks - 'Victims In Need of Special Favors'This is all a part of the progressive agenda to hook Americans, particularly black Americans, on government handouts. In future elections, they will be able to claim that anyone who campaigns on cutting taxing and spending is a racist. That’s what Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., said in denouncing the Republican 1994 call for tax cuts. He said, “It’s not ‘****’ or ‘ni—r’ anymore. (Instead,) they say, ‘Let’s cut taxes.’”Join our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & to secure US borders by joining our E-mail Alerts at http://eepurl.com/cktGTn

No rebuke for you! House defeats Democrats’ attempt to chastise Issa

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell E. Issa prepares ...more >
Republicans circled around Rep. Darrell Issa Thursday, rejecting a Democratic effort to censure the House’s top investigator after he cut off the microphone of the top Democrat on the oversight committee Wednesday during a heated hearing.
GOP lawmakers defeated a resolution chastising Mr. Issa, and House Speaker John A. Boehner gave Mr. Issa qualified backing, saying the congressman was within his rights to end Wednesday’s hearing after former IRS employee Lois G. Lerner refused to answer questions about the tax agency’s tea party targeting.
The vote was 211-186 to table the resolution, effectively killing it. Ten lawmakers voted “present.”
“From what I understand, I think Mr. Issa was within his rights to adjourn the hearing when he did,” Mr. Boehner told reporters Thursday morning, rejecting calls to remove the California Republican.
“Darrell Issa is the chairman. He’s done an effective job as chairman, and I support him,” the GOP’s leader said.
In Wednesday’s hearing, Mr. Issa had recalled Ms. Lerner to try to make her testify about her role in the IRS’s targeting of tea party groups for special scrutiny.
After Ms. Lerner refused to answer 10 separate questions, citing her right against self-incrimination, Mr. Issa gaveled the hearing closed. Rep. Elijah Cummings, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, asked to be recognized and Mr. Issa said he would entertain a question, but when Mr. Cummings began a statement criticizing the IRS investigation, Mr. Issa had the microphones cut and left the room.
Mr. Cummings finished his statement while Ms. Lerner sat at the witness table, but it was done without the benefit of the public address system and without any Republicans remaining to hear him.
