Pat Buchanan is on the money with his remarks in this article. This quote in particular-

“The disintegration of the society, I think, has taken place because of all the revolutions that took place in the ’60s, and we’re living in the second and the third generation after that,” he said. “But it’s certainly not poverty. America has been a far poorer place in the black community than it is today, but we’ve never had this degree of social, moral disintegration. And the problem is, I don’t call these people ‘leaders’ who won’t address that."

--he's absolutely right, and the "War on Poverty" is what led to all of this moral and social disintegration as people gamed the system to get money. The main rule that led to this was that in order to get welfare, there couldn't be a father in the home. Well, they got what they asked for on this one, as black fathers are absent from the homes where they are needed most! And it is insanity that these black leaders (Sharpton, et al) refuse to recognize this. So much easier to blame "crackers" than tell the truth! Jesus said, "The truth shall set you free." John 8:32 yet we as a nation refuse to hear the truth!
