I've emailed them all; Democrats and Republicans. And made some calls as well including to the White House. Keep it up guys!!! I haven't been on the boards much lately......have houseguests and recently moved but I've been popping in and still working the phones and emails!

Also called the RNC!! They said well wait til Hilary gets in there and does Nationalized Healthcare! I said no one will be able to afford healthcare after we pay 2.5 trillion in benefits to illegals under the amnesty bill. She was not happy!

Resurrection Plans [Kate O'Beirne]

Standing in the way of a planned recess causes radioactive unpopularity because such recalcitrant Senators threaten to upset the vacation/travel plans of their colleagues AND THEIR WIVES (okay, spouses).

There is Senate speculation that there will be a resurrection of the immigration reform bill during the last week of June to increase pressure on dissenting Senators who would risk the wrath of colleagues by delaying the July 4th recess.

A determined Republican leadership is drawing up a list of permissible amendments, doing vote counts on the most troublesome, and crafting window-dressing "improvements" to win over enough Senators to win a cloture vote. The approved changes wouldn't affect the core problems with the bill, but could be enough to provide the cover some nervous Republican Senators are looking for.
