    Additional Talking Point

A few weeks ago, I went on a company sponsored trip to a resort in Los Cabos, Mexico. I've travelled extensively throughout Mexico and speak Spanish fairly well. I always spend time talking to average people and go out of my way to shop in the non-resort areas. (That was my last trip ever to Mexico, their involvement in jailing the border guards was the last straw.)

On this last trip we had an especially good waiter at a local restaurant in Los Cabos. He told us how he moved from Tijuana to Cabo San Lucas and left his family behind in Tijuana to make a better living. He want on to explain how his wife and kids would be joining him soon and he's now making a nice living.

As the evening went on, I asked him more and more questions about his life and family, etc. Finally I asked the big question. "Why didn't you cross the border and go to the states to make money for your family?"

He remarked "That's against the law." I asked why then do so many from Mexico cross the border ? He told me "Those are the type of people who would break our laws."

VERY TELLING! Please pass this information onto anyone who says people in Mexico don't have a choice. It's obvious there is a moral issue involved as well.

By the way Mr. Kennedy, I'm not a racist or a bigot! I simply believe in law, like my Mexican waiter does.

I've heard the same thing from several people, which know illegal immigrants.

Every illegal alien is a dishonest person because they lie, commit fraud and break our laws to live in our country. They are not the caliber of people I want to mingle with. I don't understand how the church can support such people and not tell them that going home is the only way you are going to quit sinning. Aren't they susposed to guide them away from going to hell?

    The Comandments

    7. Thou shalt not steal
    8. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
    10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's goods.

    Titus 3
    Doing What is Good

1Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, 2to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men.

9But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. 10Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him. 11You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

For those not familiar with the book of Titus, is part of the Apocrypha and is part of the Catholic doctrine.

Thanks Dixie for posting this doctrine.

I think we should send it to the Open Border Bishops and remind them of it.

Thanks for sharing your story jecg_97030. I think we should share it with the OBL, Kennedy, McCain, the churches, the media, Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck...everyone we know.

This coming from a hard working Mexican who is law abiding and respectful of other countries laws!

Does anybody in the group have a connection to Glenn Beck, O'Reilly, etc.? I can probably get Lars Larson to read it on his show.

Dix, I do not know about the apocrypha, have not read it, but use what it takes to make the Catholic church to do what is right. However, don't hold your breath all, as I am pretty sure the Catholic church will only do what THEY want, and not what is right.

jecg, do get it to Lars. This should not surprise most of us, we all knew that the people we see have no problem with committing crime after crime. Tonight, my husband and I spent a short time with one of his younger co-workers, from SE Asia. He talked about the amount of people who would without remorse, cheat the system, he started to say "there are some kind of people, you know who I am talking about, who do it most", but then he blushed a little, was not sure if he should say it out loud, what he was thinking.

It is so tiring to not oly have known this before, but to hear it have been said, and see our impotent government doing nothing.

Castro did something similar about 20 years ago. Remember all the Cuban boat people? I remember it got to the point that you did not want to go to Florida, to live or vacation.

Yeah, in fact I just saw a documentary about the cocaine trade during that period. A lot of the criminals Castro dumped on us were involved. Florida was the gate-way for Columbian cocaine pouring into the nation back then. Today, Mexico is dumping their poor, uneducated, and criminals upon us. And now the coke is coming from Mexico to the US threw Arizona. Los Angeles is now the place you really don't want to go to live or vacation (at least most of the city).

Yeah, we were there almost 30 years ago, visiting family, that don't live there anymore. It's really gone downhill for a place to raise a family, or retire to.

LA has seen a mass exodus of people as the illegals repopulate it. Same goes for California as a whole. Over 100,000 flee California a year. We are seeing an exodus on Dust Bowl proportions.

I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I'm leaving in three weeks....moving 2100 miles away to a city that has yet to see illegal immigration. I'm sad to leave the only home I've ever known, but it barely resembles the home I loved for so many years. San Diego is overrun with illegals, and the culture has changed dramatically. I hate it here now....can't wait to be gone.
Calderon was absolutely right when he said...."Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico".
