Thread: Border Agents Ramos and Compean

As many of you know, in a great injustice, Border Agents Ramos and Compean are still in prison for wounding a drug smuggler and will be for another 10 years if President Bush does not commute their sentences. Some feel they deserved no jail time, others feel they deserved to be punished, but nobody believes they should have to spend 11 years in solitary confinement for their actions.

We also are asking you to e-mail the first lady, Laura Bush, because we are very confident she could persuade the President to do the fair thing and commute their sentences. Unfortunately he has been very unresponsive on the issue. E-mailing with take seconds and may make a big difference in helping the two men.

We are also putting together a campaign to boycott and protest the Laura Bush book that will be coming out over the next few years if the Border Agents do not have their sentences commuted.
We are uncomfortable knowing the Bush family will be earning as much as $8 million for this book while the families of Ramos and Compean are having problems putting food on their table.

I sent the email, but I am also of like mind that king George will not listen to Laura. Maybe we should be writing Daddy Bush instead, I think sometimes he does listen to him.
