CHASE MAKES $1 MILLION GRANT TO NATIONAL COUNCIL OF LA RAZA TO BOOST DEVELOPMENT IN HISPANIC COMMUNITIES

RDF will leverage the grant money, along with access to $10 million for loans at favorable rates, to assist NCLR-affiliated community-based organizations around the country in purchasing and developing land for affordable housing, charter schools, community child and health care centers, and other service-providing facilities.

The balance of the Chase grant will support NCLR affiliates offering a variety of financial education services, such as homeownership counseling, affordable banking services, and credit counseling.

“Thanks to Chase, this unique investment will bear real fruit in the construction of community facilities that impact the lives of hundreds of low- and moderate-income Latinos throughout the country,” said Tommy Espinoza, RDF president and a longtime community leader in Phoenix. “It’s especially timely to receive this grant in the final month of Raul Yzaguirre’s presidency at NCLR, marking another milestone of his legacy.”

It figures. What's a guy to do? I got my mortgage away from BOA after finding they provide loans to illegals. Now, Chase who owns my credit big time (my Truck and my school loan) does the same? Lovely. Just lovely.

Not to jump to conclusions, but, is it possible that Chase is hoping that alot of "fresh credit" is coming through the south because of illegals, even those who may have engaged in identity theft or social security number fraud in the past? Doesn't that pretty much make us 'suckers' for having to have a credit history while a new illegal with the name of Jose Gonzalez all of a sudden gets to drive off the lot with new car?

What is home owner counseling? Making sure that Mexicans get an easier time buying a new home even with a shady past?

I receive credit card offers from Chase at least twice a week. Instead of throwing them in the trash I black out the application and invitation # and then I run the application and the return envelope through my printer adding a water mark that is repeated on several lines saying, "STOP ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION!!" and then return it to them in the return envelope. Returning instead of trashing prevents "ID Theft"
