Brace Yourselves for the Backlash: 8 Things Obama Couldn’t Force

As the Year of our Lord 2013 nears its end, it’s worth remembering that way back in February, President Obama laid out a legislative agenda during his State of the Union speech. That agenda has gone absolutely nowhere.

Here’s what Obama wanted but was unable to deliver.

1. A jobs plan
Of course, by “a jobs plan”, he meant more government spending. Yeah, no thanks.



2. Immigration reform
It passed the Senate. The House is promising a different approach. We’d be surprised if it got done by the end of the year.



3. Infrastructure investments
Just another excuse to take more of your tax dollars and funnel it to unions.



4. An increase io the minimum wage
That would cost jobs. Fortunately, he didn’t get that, either.



5. Universal pre-school
Undoubtedly, the reason for this is to indoctrinate children, at a very early age, with left-wing propaganda. He didn’t get it.



6. Gun control
Of all the President’s failures, this was the most enjoyable one to watch.



7. No more budget negotiations over the debt ceiling or government funding
Yeah. That didn’t happen.



8. “Tax reform”
When a Democrat talks about “tax reform”, that’s just code for raising taxes. In fact, when a Democrat talks about anything, it’s probably code for raising taxes.
