William and Respected ALIPAC members,

I was recently surfing La Raza's website nad noticed the numerous large corporations who pledge their support to the radical hispanic group. It came to my attention through a phone call to a business friend that many of these comapnies have a Vice President of Charity or other such person in charge of arranging these relationships with groups. If you read over La Raza's information it talks about helping the hispanic community and says nothing of their support for the Aztlan movement or any think else of their radicalistic agenda. Many of these businesses are led to believe that NCLR is much like the NAACP merely a group looking to make sure that those of their race are treated fairly. Most if not all of these businesses may not be aware of NCLR's intentions or agenda.

What La Raza tells companies:
Why Partner with NCLR?
Corporate America has long understood the significance, in terms of both economic and societal impact, of America’s growing Hispanic community. Since its founding in 1968, NCLR has worked closely with major corporations to promote and institute initiatives that strengthen the Hispanic community and ensure the well-being and future prosperity of America. The following statistics illustrate the value of investing in this thriving market:

* As of July 2004, the Hispanic population in the U.S. was 41.3 million, or 14% of the total population; it is projected that Latinos will account for more than one in four Americans by 2050.
* 50% of the Hispanic population is under age 25.
* 85% of Hispanics under 18 were born in the United States.
* Latino’s buying power is more than $736 billion.
* By 2010, it is expected that Hispanics will have more than $1 trillion in disposable income.
* The U.S. Latino population remits billions of dollars to Latin America: $45.8 billion in 2004.

Large and small, corporations value NCLR’s mission, work, credibility, and passion for improving opportunities for Hispanics throughout the country. Corporations such as PepsiCo, Bank of America, State Farm Insurance Companies, UPS, and Johnson & Johnson believe that partnering with NCLR – the largest, most influential Hispanic advocacy organization in the U.S. – expands their engagement with the Hispanic community and gives them a direct way to support vital programs that serve the community.
Idea: We should make up a packet about La Raza. Make it something with pizazz but classy. Perhaps a CD with a PowerPoint on it, and send it to these businesses along with letters from angry consumers. The Presentation should outline what La Raza is really doing with the funding and threaten the companies with a suit or bad publicity if they do not renouce their support for the group. I think if we got enough signatures or powerful enough evidence this would have a huge impact.
