BREAKING: Michael Brown’s Family Responds to Grand Jury Verdict

The problem is that their son was a thug.
Michael Brown’s family has already responded to the grand jury verdict for officer Darren Wilson.

Officer Darren Wilson will not be charged with any crime for shooting Michael Brown. It was a justified shooting most likely done in simple self defense. If anyone is to blame, it’s Michael Brown.
Still, Michael Brown’s family has been trying to turn this into a “race” issue.

The Brown family apparently believes if their son was white, then he would have been allowed to beat up police officers and steal their guns without any repercussions.

The body camera idea isn’t half bad, and plenty of officers support the same rule as it would have stopped Brown’s criminal friend from being able to make up the elaborate “hands up, don’t shoot” story.

The problem is not, however, “the system.”

The problem is that their son was a thug.

This isn’t a racial issue. White people, black people, brown people — all people can be thugs. It’s a character issue, a personal issue, and a responsibility issue.

If they truly wanted their son to not “die in vain,” then they should be calling for an end to gangster and thug culture. They should be pushing for criminals to not be glorified and for honesty, hard work, and career ambition to be the new values held instead.
