Former FBI Chief James Comey to Testify Before Senate Intelligence Committee

Former FBI director James Comey has agreed to publicly testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee about his role in the investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

He is expected to speak before the committee after May 29. The date has not been set.

"The Committee looks forward to receiving testimony from the former Director on his role in the development of the Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian interference in the 2016 US elections, and I am hopeful that he will clarify for the American people recent events that have been broadly reported in the media," said Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), the chairman of the Senate Select Committee.

As director of the FBI, Comey investigated the ties between Russia and President Donald Trump's campaign. His role in the investigation came to a screeching halt when Trump fired him 10 days ago — though a paper trail of memos he left behind has pointed at the administration's attempts to derail investigation.

Senator Warner (D-VA), the vice chairman, agreed.

"Director Comey served his country with honor for many years, and he deserves an opportunity to tell his story. Moreover, the American people deserve an opportunity to hear it."

Comey is the leaker of Michael Flynn in my opinion. That's why there has been no investigation and won't be any investigation by the FBI of any of these horrible leaks including unmasking the name of Michael Flynn for the express purpose of leaking it to the press to keep him from becoming National Security Advisor and leading to his eventual firing by the President as a result of it.

The FBI is the one to investigate the leak, and there has been no investigation of the leak. Because no one has been arrested for it. The FBI has the tools to check in minutes the office phones and cell phones of every single person who called the reporters who printed the story in the Washington Post. The FBI has the authority to demand the reporter release the name, the DOJ can go to court and demand it and a Judge can order the reporter to report it or go to jail until they tell. To wit: Judith Miller.

There is only one possible reason this hasn't happened already. The FBI is responsible for the leak.

Just my opinion.
