    TIME FOR A MEXICAN REVOLUTION.

I just feel that it is long past time for the oppressed masses of Mexico to simply rise up and overthrow, by any means necessary, the existing government - and to replace that government with one that is not corrupt or condones corrupt elements within it, at any level (from the president down to the local postal delivery man); and that will focus exclusively on elevating Mexico's status from a third world to that of a first world economic power given that they have a substantial resources base and a sizable labor pool.

The wealthy corrupt elite that has always run Mexico has a long-term, essentially vested interest in maintaining the horrendous status quo there.

I am fully advocating a displacement of that government by the largely disenfranchised masses who have such a lengthy history of suffering at the hands of this elite.

The Mexican people have had a revolution before, thus they have the popular spirit to do it again. New leadership in Mexico could lead to new job opportunities, thus reducing the number of illegal's entering this country.

    FEEDBACK?

Hate to say this, but maybe we should take a look in the mirror?

I had better say that I am not advocating anything violent. But we are really on a dangerous track right now in our own country.
Ron Paul in 2011 "[...]no amnesty should be granted. Maybe a 'green card' with an asterisk should be issued[...]a much better option than deportation."

But we should look at our own abilities to survive if things go from bad to worse in this country. Being prepared for the worst is not the same thing as advocating violence, and we will be attacked by enemies from many sides if this country goes into a meltdown, including the scumbag politicians who force us to vote for the "worst of the worst" and will side with illegal aliens if a conflict breaks out here.

    RE: NON-VIOLENT REVOLUTION.

    Ok,

I removed the "violent dipsplacement" part. However, I am tired of watching this country being transformed into a Mexican Province and knowbody seems to have any ideas of how "Mexico" could stem the tide of illegal's internally. The mentality down south of the border is that entering the U.S. undocumented is a "way of life" or "rite of passage".

As long as the American profiteers don't prop up another "banan republic" style government, let the people of Mexico establish their liberty, and foght to preserve it like we Americans are supposed to.

There's no such thing as a successful revolution, you either wind up with a strong man running things or chaos. Even the U S revolution wasn't really successful. That's why the U S fought the Civil War. And Mexico would start off with a lot fewer resources than the U S had. And I'd have to wonder how Mexico could have a revolution without the U S getting dragged into it.

The U.S. Civil War was fought because of slavery. A Neo-Mexican Revolution would be waged by the oppressed Mexican proletariat to overthrow an corrupt oligarchy. Yes, the U.S. could influence it's "outcome" and consequently "hand-pick" a new progressive governing body, one for the citizens of Mexico. As a result of 9/11 America and it's southern border is perceived as weak and submissive by the rest of the world.

For all intent and purpose America is in the business of directly changing the leadership of other nations. Iraq, for example. There is no doubt that Mexicans are hard working people. Given a stable, legitimate government that creates jobs, they would rather stay in their country than enter the U.S. illegally, especially now when even U.S. citizens are getting laid off in record numbers. There is nothing civil about war, however, sometimes change is needed to help a dysfunctional nation stand on it's own two feet.

The Mexicans sure have the spunk and obviously a love for their motherland that they refuse to give up.......but until they get some people standing with them with a plan and some intellegence and something beyond just demanding something......I don't know what chance they would have. Give me jobs isn't an answer, comming here illegally isn't an answer, killing each other off isn't the answer, doing something illegal to counter something illegal doesn't work........I don't think there is an easy answer. But dumping their problem here or expecting us to do battle for them isn't an option either. They aren't unified themselves enough to do what's necessary. I honestly haven't seen anything many won't sell their mother for if it means a temporary victory....or any action they won't stand against.....if that makes sense. It's like having a murder in your own home and nobody knows nothing, won't say anything and won't rat out their own even when they know something they did was wrong.

It's been a long time comming where people should have stood ground.....but we aren't doing much better. Fear and sheer survival isn't exactly a formula that fosters a revolution.

    TALLSOLDIER77,

By your name and aviator I think it is safe to say you’re an active soldier? If so, then my respects to you and all the others who are serving with you, along with a thank you for protecting us. If you’re not active duty, then I’d bet you’re a former troop.

Also, if you are active duty it is safe to say you’re too young to remember Kent State Univ. on May 4th 1970. I may be aging myself here, but that day still echoes in the minds of many of us “boomersâ€
