Brooklyn radio host David (H-Diggy) Duncan may be deported after arrest

A Brooklyn radio and television personality with a large, local Caribbean following is facing deportation after he was busted driving with a loaded gun, cops and his colleagues said.

David (H-Diggy) Duncan, 41, was nabbed with the .22-caliber pistol after he and a pal were pulled over near Newport and Boyland Sts. in Brownsville at about 6:40 p.m. on Sept. 10, police said.

Cops stopped the Jamaican native for a burned-out brake light on his car, law enforcement sources said.

His friend sitting shotgun, 38-year-old Reginald James, was collared for possession of a narcotic, police said. It was still unclear what substance James was carrying.

A week later, Duncan was handed over to federal agents at Immigration and Customs Enforcement, where he is still awaiting removal proceedings, according to a spokesman.

Since the arrest, listeners at One Caribbean Radio 97.2 HD2 have been calling in and asking why they haven't heard Duncan's talk show, "The Jew and the Jamaican," which he co-hosts with Berel Lerman, said spokeswoman Claud Leandro.

But it wasn't until recently that the station learned why Duncan, who also hosts under the name Mr. H.D., took a sudden leave of absence.

"It was obvious he was in a bad time when he did this," Leandro said. "After he took the hiatus, we weren't hearing from him."

Leandro said that the program has been suspended until further notice.

Duncan - who has a list of priors that include drug possession, trespassing and criminal possession of a weapon - also has a show on Brooklyn Public Access television called "What's Up New York."

Notice how the author fails to clearly state why he may be deported? Is this guy here legally or not? Is ICE detaining him because of the gun charge? Why wasn't he detained for his prior criminal possession of a weapon?

This is the SOP of all NY MSM!
