Common sense escapes these racist haters. They refuse to grasp the fact that communication does not take place without a common language. In the US that language is English, NOT spanish.

The Autonomous Chapter of the Salt Lake City Brown Berets is denouncing a West Valley City program that encourages all residents to learn English, calling it a xenophobic measure.

The group is urging people to write letters to West Valley City Mayor Mike Winder and Councilman Steve Buhler condemning the initiative. Members are holding a meeting Friday evening at 7490 S. 3200 West to discuss the measure.

They are the biggest bigots going. If you don't speak English or Spanish they get angry. I was at Ross and there were 2 French Canadian couples looking at items and next to them were 2 young Hispanic women who were giving them dirty looks. The 2 women were speaking Spanish the entire time. The one french Canadian man made a funny comment and I started laughing as I speak it as well. They asked me if I lived in Florida and I told them I do and then they asked me how I can live with such ride people referring to the women. It is not the only time I have seen them do that. One afternoon my daughter and I were sitting at Starbuck's and at the next table were women who were screaming in Spanish the whole time. My daughter and I spoke an Eastern European language. When the women finished their drinks one came over to us and told us we were rude. My daughter wanted to tell them off but I said no as they are looking for confrontation. I looked at the woman and replied: "I am only doing what you are doing .... speaking my first language". She walked away angry.
Even earlier today my daughter called and said 2 words in our language while waiting in line at the grocery store. The Hispanic women behinded started screaming in Spanish right after she said those 2 words which inicdently were the police code for a disturbance. No matter where you go and do what they are doing using a foreign language they get angry.
