Buchanan: GOP Would Lose Soul with Giuliani
Buchanan: GOP Would Lose Soul with Giuliani
Support for Rudy Giuliani represents a return to liberal Republicanism that would strip the GOP of its hard-won progress on moral, social and cultural issues, warns Pat Buchanan.

As usual, Pat Buchanan is right. It seems people are only supporting him because, "He is the only one that can beat Hillary." Not only is this not true, but he CAN'T beat Hillary. For the very same reasons that Pat outlined above.....Rudy's social liberalism will cost the Republican ticket the constituency that has landed them in the White house time and time again. Conservatives will sit home on election day, or vote Third Party. This will give Hillary a land-slide victory. They are taking their core constituents for granted. And they are going to pay for it. Big time.

Buchanan may be right about Giuliani, but Bush has already done major damage to the GOP as far as I'm concerned!

I think Bush's legacy will be that he is the George McGovern of the Republican Party.
