This isn't making one American any safer,
You got that right. In fact it is doing the exact opposite. We are the infidels and the radicals would like nothing more then to wipe us from the face of the earth. Meddling in the Middle East craziness is inflaming the radicals and making targets of us all, even more than we were. Good to know we have secure borders and Homeland Security is getting the job done.

New, you will know when the process is complete when you start making the same noises as him, getting up off the couch after taking a nap. Also included would be starting sentences with..."I remember when...."..."Kids today..." "Cell phone? They use them in jail don't they?" and while looking under the hood of you kids new car, loudly exclaiming "WHERE'S the engine?" (just kidding, but not about the father's noises part!)

Let's face it...the only real reason for being in Iraq is because the former tyranical dictator who fought with Iran and killed his own people was because he said, "He who controls oil, controls the world." The bottomline is that the free world is dependent upon oil resources most of which is really not controlled by Americans free world countries....and we should have changed our course in terms of energy dependency over 30 years ago, but that has been rebuked by the oil giants and our kiss ass politicians. Also, in our zeal to make China, in particular a democracy with Capitalistic potential, they are devouring world resources of oil, metals etc at a phenominal rate.....Americans are in for a rude awakening at the rate things are going....and illegal aliens may be for a surprise also when we refuse to subsidize them anymore.

The deal was that Iraq would start producing oil and pay for its own reconstruction. I don't believe that is happening. Strap on another burden to American citizens. Maybe they can bill the illegal that is probably using my social security number.

Actually, when I was in Dubai a couple of months ago, a friend from Abu Dhabi told me that he had heard a very credible report that the Iraqi oil production was being intentionally under-reported so that large stockpiles could be given to the US oil companies under the table without causing an obvious glut that would drop global oil prices. I cannot vouch for the reliability of his source, but my friend seemed to believe the story. I guess that could explain what's happening to all the oil revenues from what used to be one of the world's largest oil producers.

Crocketsghost, I wrote what you quoted and to add to the equation there are ultra rich families that not many people know about who have an intense/immense control over our economy and the world economy....if you cross them the wrong way then you will never have existed. All boils down to greed and control and the vast majority on our planet have no clue about what they do.
