Business Licenses R Public Info - Turn In Unlicensed Busines
I wondered how many businesses run/owned by illegal immigrants were legitimate, licensed and paying taxes. Business licensing is public information. Lists of licensed businesses are available without charge. Just search BUSINESS LICENSE DATA BASE, then the city and state. You will need the name and complete address of the business. Data bases are kept differently depending on your state. It may take a minute to find the right site, but it is there.
If someone is operating a business without a license, it is safe to say they are not paying taxes. Reporting that business to the IRS is encouraged and in some cases rewarded with cash.
Business licenses for all of L.A. County can be found at:
http://www.cdpr.ca.gov/docs/license/currlic.htm
Scroll to the bottom and select a letter. This list is alphabetical by business name.
If you have any problems, let me know.

Yes, any and all licensing is public information. So are mortgages, divorces, bankruptcies, arrests, etc.
