Thread: Anchor Babies and Illegal Hiring Practices

After I peel away the onion it appears to me that there are TWO areas that, at least to me, are profoundly obvious and important for grassroots organizations like Alipac to focus on. IMO, aggressively addressing these two key areas would have a more immediate impact than all the other areas combined.

1. Illegal Hiring Practices. The logic here is simple and very easily enforced no matter what some of the OBL's would lead you to believe. Remove the magnet of employment and there is far less impetus for folks to steal across our souther border. The technology is available now and there is no reason why this can't be made 100% operational within one year.

2. Anchor Babies. This to me is perhaps the most insidious problem. Foreign nationals see this as the most convenient path to coming to this country and eventually obtaining citizenship. This one angers me as much as any of them because not only are they establishing a foot hold by devious means, they are also abusing a loophole in our legal system and ultimately passing on the enormous cost to American citizens!

These two items scream out to be done! Does this logic and common sense escape everyone but me? Tell me where I am going wrong and why we can't do this?

This anchor baby thing is just what causes the separation of families when the illegals are caught. This is their own doing and should have to take responsibilty for their own actions. This part of the Contitiution needs to be clarified to stop this nonsense. The employers need to be hammered for hiring illegal aliens, but the illegal aliens themselves should be prosecuted for using false documents. We are seeing some evidence of this now as Homeland Security cracks down.

How right you are tex. After all, we don't believe in separating families and minor children should be with their parents.

Creating a life for the purpose of citizenship is immoral. They are purposefully also creating a strain on the welfare system, and birthing these children in our hospitals with no insurance, thus creating a strain on our economy. Ever hear of “The Pillâ€

The separation of children from ILLEGAL alien PARENTS when such parents are DEPORTED is the fault of the ILLEGALS, and thus the children, whether born here or NOT, should be deported ALONG with their FOREIGN LAWBREAKER parents!

I firmly believe we need to repeal this idea in our government of automatic citizenship to children of foreign nationals born here. As well, I do a little dance in my living room every time I hear of these workplace raids catching illegals, especially because they were working in a job and American should have had, and also because they were using an American citizens SSNO and good name to do it all.

I am waiting pensively for ICE to come and raid my mothers workplace, almost ALL of the employees there are illegals and they have been doing all they can to get all of the Americans out (they have already gotten one of the American workers there fired). My fear with that, is the business owner will not be able to get enough people, in the event of a raid, to replace all of these illegals, and then his business will go down, and my mother would be out of work (she is 67 and getting another job that will work with her on limited hours due to social security and also willing due to her age).

However, she is all for them getting all the illegals, she's tired of seeing them get people fired, she worries she is next on their *___* list.

This makes me so steaming mad!! How dare these illegal slime bully American citizens that have been working all their lives in this country! Your poor mom has to work with these vermon, I feel for her and will pray that she finds another job and that all the illegals are deported. I hope that that employer then learns the hard way about hiring illegals over Americans!!
