California isn't going to ask for a bailout. And the feds couldn't bail out any one state if they wanted to because all of the other states would demand a bailout too. So it ain't gonna happen.

which encouraged millions more illegal aliens to come here.
The feds didn't secure the border to stop illegal immigration, as they said they would.
The Feds didn't deport the millions of illegal aliens that were here.
The Feds give citizenship to all Anchor Babies.
The Feds ordered every state to provide a free K-12 education for illegal aliens and their kids.
The Feds ordered every state to give welfare to illegal aliens by making anchor babies eligible for all federal benefits.
The Feds are giving green cards and social security cards to MILLIONS of Dreamers right NOW.
Texas was the first state to have a state Dream Act, in 2001.
New Mexico also has a dream act.
Colorado has just added a state Dream Act. (Just needs the Gov. signature.)

And some slightly misguided people blame everything on CA.

I feel for the good people in California that going to be paying for the folly.

This is what all the variations of the DREAM Act and the pathways to citizenship and all the exemptions always end up looking like… a giant horde descending on already bankrupt states and demanding more money.

More than 20,000 college-bound students are seeking state financial aid for the first time under California’s new Dream Act laws that allow them to get the help despite their immigration status.

While far from a complete picture, that number is the best indicator yet of how many students hope to benefit from a pair of laws that could radically change the college experience for a generation of students whose parents brought them to the U.S. illegally when they were young — the same group that has taken center stage in the national immigration reform debate.

“For many of them, it’s a game-changer,” said Meng So, who coordinates UC Berkeley’s months-old Undocumented Student Program.

It’s a game changer for everyone. Including the taxpayers. And the DREAMERS become a night for an already overburned state.
