Gov. Jerry Brown needs to stop spending, veto AB 131

Gov. Jerry Brown is presiding over a state that is functionally bankrupt. When I run out of money, I stop spending because I have no other choice. As governor of this once-great state, he should do the same.

The very last thing Governor Brown should be doing is signing AB 131, which would provide student loans for illegal immigrants. What part of "illegal" doesn't he understand? Illegal immigrants already cost the state of California billions of dollars per year for all the various welfare programs already available to them.

Instead of setting aside state funds — that we do not have — for student loans to illegal immigrants, he should employ all of those "extra" funds to police our boarders and restore the rule of law.
