    California Town Aims to Bar Illegal Immigrants from Renting

    May 12, 2006 · On Monday, May 15, the city council in San Bernardino, Calif., will vote on an ordinance that will make it illegal for landlords to rent to undocumented immigrants. It would also prohibit the hiring of day laborers. Under the ordinance, workers must prove they are in the country legally. Steven Cuevas of member station KPCC reports.
