    no form of amnesty

    No form of amnesty.
    A meager fine in amnesty.
There are no illegals in the “shadows”if they are working. It is a form of amnesty no matter how you look at it. How are they going to pay “back taxes”if there is not record. Let inmates do the “farm work.”
American women and women used to have business that did the house, hotel and business cleaning. They have been put out of business by illegals, even underage ones.
Make the illegals legal and they will being at poverty level, be eligible for all the benefits as America’s poor citizens; housing, food stamps, medicaid, etc, and later unemployment, disability, SSI and social security.
Sit back and see a new third world country self destruct.
How dare any one compare illegals to the civil right movement or legal immigrants that built this country. We are no longer into nation building but nation preserving of a way of life.

    welcome Dyehard!

All of what you say is true. Writing it to your senators and congressmen will help them understand that more and more people are getting upset over this.

Welcome dyehard39, I'm new to the board myself.

And I totally agree with everything you have said.

One of the Senators commented on prisoners doing the field work, and he says that it would send a bad message considering that much of the prison system is made up of "blacks" and to have them working in fields picking cotton, and potatoes would not look good!
    BULL S**T!!!

I am black, it would not offend me at all....I say if your in the prison system, you're there for a reason, NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SKIN COLOR MAY BE, so put them to work in any way you can, even if that means field work!

I agree. One thing these alien sympathizers don't understand is this -- when Americans see blacks or whites "working in fields picking cotton, and potatoes" they will see men who are in essence defending their country without carrying arms.

The President or Congress and all these pro-illegal crowds, doesn't seem to have a problem with Americans -- black or white -- shedding their blood on foreign soil, but they don't want them to break a sweat in the fields of America because it "would not look good!." It doesn't look good to have foreigners parading in the streets of America with their flags, but they don't have a problem with that.

    Welcome Dyehard!!!
Everything you say is true. It's all messed up. And it seems it's the blind leading the blind in the capitol. There's a few with the right idea and I'm grateful for them. Everyday I write my congressmen. It's the first thing I do. My husband thinks I'm obsessed and wasting my time. But I've done about 18 yrs. of complaining and that got me nowhere either. I've gotten to the point that I just urge them to secure the borders now. Until that's done there's nothing else to really discuss. Every day they're up there adding college tuition or finding something new to banter around and more and more are crossing the border, complicating it even more. There's laws in place they are doing nothing to enforce and if they did I think it wouldn't be as hard as they think. Not overnight for sure. This has been going on for years. But they can secure our border.

If this thing passes into law, there will be nothing to stop.

Our borders will have been effectively declared nonexistant, and citizenship will have become meaningless.

If you're not at the very top of the food chain in your job, you will get to join the race to the bottom as more and more people flood in, willing to work for less and less.

This is a sellout by the ruling class not unlike allowing an invading army into the country, then signing surrender papers with them. There is a word for this kind of action.
It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

And with one stroke of the pen, George Bush could bring a complete stop to this, if he had any level of partiotism in his blood.
