The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Fred Thompson lifeboat in Georgia just a little lighter.
Senate President pro tem Eric Johnson of Savannah, the ranking Republican in that chamber and one of the leaders of the draft-Fred movement last year, is switching to presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
Johnson said he’s got no special knowledge of whether Thompson, who finished third in South Carolina on Saturday, will be pulling out of the Republican contest.
“I don’t know if he’s pulling out today or tomorrow or not at all,â€

Sounds like some good news. Hopefully ALL of Thompson's votes will shift to Romney.

If these defections are coming today, Fred will be out tomorrow or sometime this week. Remember how we all learned about Tancredo the day before his major announcement.

I'd rather have him endorse no one at all than McCain. Ugh.

I have been hearing all day on talk radio that Thompson, Guillani, and Huckabilly, are likely to back Mclame if when and if they quit running!!!
I'm not sure about the truthfullness of these statements, but if they are true, then it makes you wonder, if all these guys do endorse Mclame, then exactly how true were their statements about border enforcement.
Why are they willing to endorse a outspoken candidate that is hellbent on granting Amnesty to millions and millions of Illegals!!
