    Can the GOP Stop Dream Act In 2011 If It Passes Senate?

    If for some odd reason the Dream Act should pass in the Senate, can the Republicans do anything to push it back when they take their new seats in 2011, or will it be a done deal forever?

    Illegals

    We have to call Senators and tell them vote NO on the Dream Act. They must listen only to US citizens. They must not listen to illegal aliens. Illegals must leave our country.

    With any legislation passed, it takes time to implement so technically speaking, it can be undone before it ever gets off the ground. They can also refuse to approve funding for the programs needed to make the legislation work.

    I certainly hope so. INS can't keep up with LEGAL immigrant applications, how will they ever process the millions that will apply under the Dream Act. We can expect massive fraud if this act goes into effect, similar to the fraud that occurred in 1986. At that time, they were expecting 1 million applicants that quickly turned into 3 million applicants.

    In theory yes they probably could reverse Amnesty but,imo, they will not even try. If DA passes in the Senate it is a Done Deal.

    Like others here I am beginning to wonder if the Repubs leadership really wants to stop DA .
