Can States Sue the Feds
I am not a legal expert but if the federal government has been negligent in their duty to enforce the immigration laws, and if the states suffer increased costs and expenses as a result, then why can't the States sue the federal government for damages?
In a similar vain, if an individual (or group of individuals) has lost employment opportunities or suffered lower wages because of illegal immigrants, then they have suffered a monetary loss. This loss was caused by the negligence of the federal government which has failed to do its duty by excluding illegals from the country. Likewise if someone is discharged from their work and is replaced by an illegal worker then they might also have a direct claim for compensation from the government?
Why have groups like ALIPAC never considered filing cases asking the courts to grant various injured parties some compensation. Considering the success that civil rights groups have had in bringing such suites it might be a very effective strategy. Can someone who is familiar with the law please help me on this.

We receive this question and request all the time.
We are not a legal outfit. The main organizations that oppose illegal immigration that have attorneys on staff are Judicial Watch and IRLI
ALIPAC stands ready to help support any lawsuit along these lines if anyone can find the right attorneys that say they A. Can and will file such a case or cases and B. Will give us a game plan with a chance of success.

You would think that if the Feds can sue a State (Arizona) over how it protects its citizens, a State could sue the Feds for NOT protecting the Union. It is its only real job, the Defense of this Nation and it cant even do that right.

states have lawyers and money
If it is a matter of good lawyers and money then some of the states like Arizona and Alabama might be the best bet. Does anyone know a state attorney general or a governor who is concerned about illegal immigration and would be up for a law suit? Also I just read a news story about some illegals who are suing the DHS about the secure communities program. So if illegals can sue to get less enforcement, why cannot real citizens sue to get more enforcement?
