We do not have a problem with immigration.
After all, probably 90+% of all Americans
have foreign ancestry. We do have current
problems with illegality and assimilation
of millions of immigrants in the US.
Until an immigrant has obtained a “Green
Card” he/she is a visitor, not an immigrant.
We need to correct this situation so that
these millions can feel free, have respect for
themselves, and be in a position to take full
advantage of what the USA has to offer.
Congress needs to establish policies backed
by workable laws that achieve a number of
objectives including: securing our borders,
and reducing the burden on public services.
These objectives can be met by:
· Physical barriers and surveillance systems
at our borders,
· Requiring employers to register all employees
with the Dept of Social Security,
to generate at least a temporary visa ID
card
· Require proficiency of English as one of
the conditions leading to the green card
status.
· Assign cities to work with all foreign
born non citizens to register into a standard
national ID which includes fingerprints,
photo, and a Social Security
number issued by the US.
The integration process must be prepared
and conducted with care, compassion, and
competence. The steps to be taken by the
illegal persons need to be as easy as possible
yet lead to our existing green card permanent
residence authorization. If Illegals do
not wish to become citizens of the USA they
can still remain as green carded foreign
aliens having nearly all the privileges of
citizens. Cities receive generous grants and
cash supplements as the number of legal
inhabitants rise, therefore there is a financial
incentive for cities to engage themselves
in the process.
The process will take some time, and will
require strict adherence to the rules of the
process. Those illegals that refuse or evade
undertaking the road to legality in the US
will be transported to their native country
after being fingerprinted and photographed.
If they re-enter illegally, they will go
straight to a farm labor prison for 5 years.
The system outlined will work if we include
some rules that aid the process for example:
· state drivers licenses are only made
available to those registered in the
system,
· services provided by the city only go
to those illegals who have registered
for the system or do so as a part of
the request for service,
· exclude any ideas about amnesty as
none will be given,
· provide public education only for
children of those registered in the
system, and
· allow only spouses and children to
be a part of the worker's US family

We have a problem with illegal. Those in the country illegally are criminals not "visitors." So this guy wants to just wave the wand of legality over those who violate our law and make them free. An immigrant is someone who is not a U.S. citizen but has been authorized to permanently live and work in the United States. If you want to become an immigrant, you must go through a three-step process. First, the USCIS must approve an immigrant petition for you, which is usually filed by an employer or a relative for you. Second, a visa number, through the State Department must be immediately available to you, even if you are already in the United States. If you receive an immigrant visa number, it means that an immigrant visa has been assigned to you. Third, if you are already in the United States, you may apply to adjust to permanent resident status after a visa number becomes available for you. (If you are outside the United States when an immigrant visa number becomes available for you, you must then go to your local U.S. consulate to complete your processing.)
U.S. law limits the number of immigrant visa numbers that are available every year. This means that even if the USCIS approves an immigrant visa petition for you, you may not get an immigrant visa number immediately. In some cases, several years could pass between the time USCIS approves your immigrant visa petition and the State Department gives you an immigrant visa number. In addition, U.S. law also limits the number of immigrant visas available by country. This means you may have to wait longer if you come from a country with a high demand for U.S. immigrant visas.http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/immvisa.htm
I believe the candidate is suggesting we ignore laws limiting visa numbers. No waiting. AMNESTYUnemployment is not working. Deport illegal alien workers now! Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
