Carlos Gutierrez was just on c-span, a caller called in and told him how frustrated Americans are and mentioned that the senate bill gives amnesty to felony charges of idenity theft and if an American Citizen stole a ss# and used it they would be put in jail, actually prison. Gutierrez started in with they need a way for employer's to check the ss#'s. Employer's checking ss#'s has nothing to do with stealing a ss# and an individual committing idenity theft. If they are excused from these crimes then our government has a different set of laws for us than for these illegals. Why do they say they want a bill that is fair? I sure see nothing fair about this. That breaking into the country gives you the right to commit felony crimes and not be punished while those here legally would go to prison for the same crime. This guy was right when he said, he speaks for the American people and how frustrated they all are by this.
